I went into the bathroom and took quick shower. I got out, dried my straight hair and brushed it out. I put on my high waisted American flag jean shorts over black bathing suit, red flannel over my torso, and my black converse. I put on my necklace that was recovered in my room.

It was the only piece of jewelry I had on me when I got out of the house.

I went back into the bathroom, applied mascara, and put in my contacts. I grabbed my black mini backpack and put all the things I needed into it. I swung my backpack around my back and walked downstairs.

"Is everyone ready?" I yelled out. Everyone was downstairs ready, except for Morgan. I walked into her room, she was laying down on her bed with her legs dangling off the side.

I hopped up on the bed next to her. "What's up?" I asked her. "I have nothing good to wear." She said. "Can I give you a little tip?" She nodded and we both sat up.

"Don't dress to impress him, if he doesn't like the way you dress, then screw him. You could still look cute, because you wanna look cute. You don't need to dress like beyond perfect to impress one guy, alright?" I said to her. "Yeah, you're right." She said.

She walked into her closet, grabbed her tie-dye shorts, plain white spaghetti strap blouse, and her tie-dye high top converse.

"Good?" She asked. "Perfect." I said smiling. "Now let's go!" I took her hand and rushed out of the room.

Downstairs were all the guys and Lily. We all fixed up. "Let's start walking!" I said.

I walked with Zack's arm around my shoulder. Everyone was walking in front of us. Lily was on Mitch's back, Eli, Jack, Thomas, and Logan were just walking and talking with each other, and Morgan was on the phone with Jeremy.

We met up with Jeremy in front of the restaurant, where we ate on a rooftop. I sat next to Zack and Morgan, and Jeremy sat across from Morgan and next to Logan.

"Yo, Avalon, I'm going to go wash my hands." Mitch said. "Yeah sure. Everyone who wants to go, go now." I said.

Pretty much everyone stood up except for Jack, Derek and I. Derek scooted over to sit next to me and Jack was taking pics of the view from the rooftop.

I moved my hair so it wouldn't be in my face. "Avalon, I thought about it and your right. It really would be wrong if we dated and we lived in the same house." Derek said taking a hold of my hand.

"That's why I'm moving out." Jack's attention then went to us, but he tried to make it seem like he wasn't listening.

I grabbed Derek's hand and pulled him downstairs, and out of the restaurant and onto the boardwalk. Jack was looking at us from the rooftop.

"Derek what do you means by 'moving out." "I'm moving out, so we could date. And you won't be kicked out of the orphanage."

"Derek, do you not understand. I love you, as a best friend and as family. You can't move out, I need your help around the house when Michelle's gone. You can't move out." I said. "Avalon, can we just try it out, please."

"Derek I'm with Zack. You're legit an orphan brother of mine. We can't do this." I said.

Derek grabbed me and pulled me into a kiss. "UGH." I said while pulling away. I walked into the restaurant and Derek followed. Right before I sat down, Jack took my arm and stopped me.

Derek continued to the table. "What the hell was that?" He asked. "I'll tell you when we get home, there's too many people here. Alright?" "Fine."

We sat down and ordered our food. Our food came and we spoke to Jeremy.

"So Jeremy, how's your life?" Zack asked. "Good, I got accepted to this really good travel baseball team." "You play baseball?" Mitch asked. "Yeah."

"Why position?" "Catcher and 3rd." Jeremy said.

"Hey Jeremy, do you know who else's a catcher and 3rd baseman?" Zack asked. "You?" Jeremy asked.

"Nope, Ms. Avalon over here is." He said smiling. "You play travel softball?" He asked me. "Technically I'm not on a team, but once in a while I play for Derek and Zack's team." I said smiling.

"WAIT! Were you that girl at the baseball game who his a homerun?!" Jeremy yelled. "Guilty as charged." I said smiling.

"Sick." He said. Morgan was smiling while eating her pasta.

"You were the one who completely shut out that other team the other day right? Man you're chill." He said and laughed.

The entire family laughed at that. "Yeah, Avalon's a pretty big hit around here now, even in the house." Logan said and laughed.

"So guys, how about after dinner, we all just walk on the boardwalk. Go to the arcade or something." Derek said.

We all agreed, we finished eating, paid and left.
