57. Surprise surprise

I walked over to the pool and Nolan followed me, we both jumped in and started swimming around. We all hung out in the backyard for a while. It was about 7:20 and the sun was setting.

"Avalon, can we go out for dinner?" Morgan asked. I jumped out of the pool and Nolan followed. "Yeah, where do you wanna go?" I asked her. "Mom set up a dinner on that like boat again."

"That fancy one? Again? So I have to wear a dress and all that?" I asked. Nolan took my hand and spun me. "Yes and you will look as beautiful as ever."

Nolan kissed my head and laughed. "Alright well tell everyone to get ready." I said. Morgan ran in and Nolan and I walked in after her.

We walked in and up the stairs. Nolan went into the guests bathroom. And I took a shower in my room. I stripped down and took a short.

About 20 minutes later, I stepped out, dried my hair, put on some mascara, and stepped out.

I stepped out and Nolan was laying face down on my bed. "Hey Nolan, you alright?" I asked while walking into the closet with the towel around my body.

"I'm tired." He said and laughed. "What should I wear?" I asked. He stood up and walked into the closet with me.

He looked at me. "Wear this, I like this on you." He handed me a short sleeve floral maxi dress with a leg slit.

"Well alrighty then." I said and smiled. He left the closet and let me change. I walked out and then went back into the bathroom. I curled my hair and then walked out.

"Beautiful, I told you." He said and smiled. I looked at myself in the mirror, he came up behind me, hugged me, and kissed my head. "They did a good job." Nolan said while keeping his arms around me.

"Who? With what?" I said. "Your parents. With you." He said and smiled. I turned around and kissed him. "You know you're my best friend, you were part of the reason I'm the person I am now, and I love you."

"I love you too." He said smiling at me. We hugged and we walked downstairs. We met up with everyone else and I put on soft pink lipstick.

I put on my black booties and swung my backpack on my back. "EVERYONE LETS START WALKING!" I yelled.

We all started walking and as the person I am. I called over one of our neighbors to take a picture of us. After the picture. I got on Nolan's back and we walked to the boardwalk.

When we walked on three people came up to me and gave me flowers. It was really weird. All of a sudden music started playing and people started dancing around us. And they followed us all the way to the beach.

We all smiled, laughing and I took videos. The all ran away when we got to the front of the boat. "Well that was weird I said and laughed."

We boarded the boat and we took our seats. The DJ was playing music and I sat facing the front of the boat.

I saw everyone sitting in front if me and I suddenly had a shock of happiness. I had a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Eli, Mitch, Thomas, Matt and their parents!

"GUYS YOU'RE HERE! I DIDN'T KNOW THAT YOU GUYS WERE GOING TO BE HERE!" I yelled. I stood up and hugged them.

We all took a picture and they sat next to us. There was the a huge thump on the upper deck. "What was that?" I asked while making my way upstairs.

"NOTHING." Matt said and pulled me back to my seat. "Well okay?" I said. Nolan smiled. "Can we order now?" I asked. "In about ten minutes." Nolan said.

We all sat and stuff. It was weird and stuff. I looked out of the side of the boat and saw a reflection of lights from the upper deck.

I looked and everyone was occupied. I stood up and bolted up the stairs. I shot through the doors and everyone followed me.

"CONGRATS AVALON!" Everyone yelled.

I looked and almost started crying. I saw my family, the baseball team, coach, Michelle, my friends from the animal shelter in New York, Officer Nicole, Jax and his brother Parker.

I started crying just from seeing everyone. Nolan walked up besides me. The fairy lights and the big banner that said "congrats" were set up.

Everyone were wearing khakis, polos, dresses, skirts, and I was just shocked.

"Avalon, come on, you were suppose to wait till they were done." Nolan said while putting his arm around me.

I started tearing up just from seeing all the people I loved in front of me. I started walking around all shocked. "What is this though, like why am I being congratulated?" I asked.

Officer Nicole stepped up. "Honey, we have wonderful news for you." She said. Coach stepped up. "This lady already knows how much trouble you're going to be, but she's already used to it."

The kids stepped in front of me. Logan then started speaking. "You've been a sister to all of us, you've always been there."

Morgan then stepped up. "You were the older sister I always wanted. And now you are the older sister I've always wanted."

Lily came up to me and hugged me. Jack smiled. "We threw this little surprise thing for you, because we knew how much this would've meant to you." Jack said.

Derek came over and swung his arm around me, Lily, Jack, Morgan, Logan, stood next to us. "Avalon, I'd like you to meet our mom, Michelle."

I instantly started crying, and everyone started clapping. Michelle stepped from behind everyone and I ran to her and hugged her.

"You're adopting me?" I asked while sucking in my tears. Michelle wiped my tears away. "I'm adopting all of you." She said.

I literally started bawling. "But why?" I asked. "I decided it was time to give up fostering, and I didn't want to lose any of you. But hey, we're going to live in the same house so." She said smiling.

"NOW DONE WITH THE DRAMA WORKS! LET'S EAT AND PARTY!" Coach yelled.

Nolan came over and hugged me. "Happy?" He asked. I nodded and kissed him. "Honestly like, I'm speechless." I said.

Nolan wiped the tears away from me. "I love you dork." He said and smiled. "I love you too." I said.

For the rest of the night we just partied and ate. When we got home I passed out on my bed, next to Nolan, in my dress, with a smile on my face.
