"I can't believe that actually happened." I said to Nolan. "Yeah, none of my viewers said that stuff to me yet." Nolan said all pouty.
As clumsy as I am, of course I trip, but Nolan caught me as I was falling. "Thanks." I said laughing. We got onto the boat and we were assigned to our table on the upper deck. There were a lot other families on this boat. "Oh yeah, everyone, this is Jax. Jax, this is Logan, Jack, Lily, Derek, Jeremy, Zack, and you already know Morgan. Everyone, this is Jax." "Hey." They all said.
I took out the album that those viewers gave to me. It was absolutely adorable. They printed out comments from my "catch up." Video, cut out the positive ones and pasted them onto the pages. It was absolutely amazing. The boat then took off and we were all sitting. "Are you all ready to order?" A waiter said. I ordered Chicken Alfredo and Iced tea.
A D.J. came out and started playing music. "We even have live entertainment, this is sick." Most of the people here seemed around my age or older.
Our food came and we ate. "So Avalon, you have a huge family." "Oh no, these aren't my blood related siblings."
"Your parents adopt?" He asked. "No." "Then how?" He asked. "These are my orphanage siblings. On my birthday, May 25th, my house set on fire, my parents and my siblings were killed in New York, no orphanages in NY would take in an 18 year old so I had to fly here to Cali to this family, and I love all of them."
"I'm so sorry." He said. "A lot of people are, but I just try to push it behind me." As we finished eating the waiters came around picking up our empty plates.
The "fairy lights" on the boat were on, and the dance floor was wooden. "Morgan come dance!" I said pulling her up. We rushed to the dance floor. "Morgan we really need more girls to hang out with." I said laughing.
"I know right." She said laughing. "Mind if I step in?" Zack asked. Morgan smiled and stepped aside. She started swaying side to side as Zack and I continued dancing. Jeremy stepped onto the dance floor and took Morgan's hand and swung his arm around her waist. "YO JEREMY, WATCH WHERE YOU PUT THAT HAND." Derek yelled.
Jeremy moved his hand to grab her other hand and we all started to laugh. After a few more minutes of dancing with everyone I just say because I was beyond exhausted.
I sat on a comfy couch that was facing the ocean. Jax came and sat next to me. "Hey." He said. "Hey, so you need to tell me more about you. Because you could possibly just end up murdering me."
"Number one, I promise I won't murder you. Number two, what do you wanna know?" "I don't know, the basic stuff I guess."
"Basic? Um, well I have three dogs. My favorite color is navy blue, I dropped out of college, freshman year. My parents are usually always out because their jobs make them go on business trips a lot, and yeah." "Well cool."
"Hey, do you mind if I sit?" I looked up to see a girl around my age. "Yeah of course!" I said scooting over. "Margo?" "Jax? Hey! I didn't know your family was on the boat." The girl said to Jax.
"They're not, I came on with my friend and her orphanage family." He said while nudging me. "7th street orphanage?" She asked. "Yeah, how'd you know?" "We adopted my little sister from there." She said. "Oh and I didn't catch a name." She added. "Oh! I'm Avalon." "Well nice to meet you, I'm Margot but my family and friends call me Margo."
"Well first let's start off with how you guys know each other." I said laughing. Margo sat down. "Well we've been neighbors for as long as I could remember, and whenever their parents needed people to watch them or like babysit, he would come over."
"Well that's cool, I'll let you both catch up because I gotta do something. Nice to meet you Margo, and hopefully we could hang soon." I said. "Yes definitely." "Jax can you give her my phone number?"
He rolled up his sleeve and had a small grin on his face. I laughed and walked away. "Hey hun." Zack said coming up behind me. "Well hellllloooo." I said turning around. I went to the dessert buffet and just put fruits on a plate, then made my way to the back of the big boat and stood looking out onto the ocean.
"Can I ask you something?" Zack said while wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "Yeah, of course." "How's California been for you?" He asked. "Honestly it's exactly what I thought it would be. See ever since I was like 6 or like around that age, I've had a dream of coming and living in California. Like I've always dreamt about the beach, the boardwalk, and the palm trees. The only thing that didn't come true in this dream, was that I was with my family." "Well hey, we in California, will try to make your life as amazing as it can. Alright?" I nodded while putting fruit in my mouth with a fork.
"Yeah." I said after I swallowed. He pecked me on the lips, hugged me, and took the stairs back to the upper deck. I threw my plate in the trash and just stood in the back of the boat. "Hey." Jack said. "Yo kiddo." "So has anything else happened with Derek?" He asked. I shook my head. "Nope, and Jack, if something actually does happen, I promise I'm going to tell you." "Sorry." "For what?" "Blaming this on you earlier." "Dude, stop. No apology necessary. Now let's go upstairs."
We walked upstairs and the boat is now turning around and we're on our way home.
I grabbed my phone out of my hand bag and sat. I played a video. "So, hey guys! I'm on the dinner boat and it's amazing. We have a DJ, there are fairy lights up, and there are a lot of other families here. But yeah. So it's way to dark right now to show you my outfit, but when we get back onto the beach, I'll show you my outfit and tell you where I got everything. So I'll see you when I get back onto the beach!"
I ended the video and took a few pics of the boat, the view, and I took some pics of the family dancing. Jax and Margo came over and we continued to just get to know each other. "Do you guys want to hang tomorrow?"
"Like your house?" She asked. "We'd be up for it, right, Jax?" She stared at him. "Maybe after work." He said quietly.
When we docked, everyone got off and everyone went to their own house. Zack stayed with us though.
"Zack help film me for a quick in the backyard?" "Yeah sure." He followed me and played a video.
"Hey guys, so this was my outfit for the dinner. I got these beige high heel sandals from forever 21. This dress was a little dress that I bought in a boutique, on the boardwalk, so I'm not sure if you could buy it anywhere else. So yeah I'll see you after I change and stuff."
Zack ended the video. As we walked back inside he swung his arm around me. We were walking up the stairs and he spoke. "Did I tell you how beautiful you looked today?" "Nope." I said smiling and shaking my head. "Well you do, absolutely beautiful."
I stepped into my room. "Thank you." I said smiling. I kissed his cheek and shut the door.
