"Sorry to interrupt, but I may be able to help. Yesterday, you weren't able to form Voltron until you were in the heat of battle".

The paladins voiced their agreement as Allura beamed happily. "Perfect. Because I need to run a diagnostic test on all of the Castle's defences. This should help!

A particle barrier formed around the castle, the lions were on the outside. "Um, what are you doing?" Hunk asked, nervously blinking

"Running a diagnostic test on the Castle defences and inspiring you! I believe in you, Paladins! Let fear be your guide! Form Voltron!"

Lasers began to shoot from mini cannons on the castle, flying left and right to impale the lions. The paladins screamed in surprise whilst Y/N began to laugh gleefully.

"Forget this! I'm heading back to the Castle!" Lance had decided enough was enough and decided to fly back into the castle...Only to crash into the particle barrier with an audible 'boom'.

Hunk looked around frantically, flying the yellow lion in different directions "Please stop! Please! Have mercy on us! Y/N? Please!"

Y/N stiffened slightly as Allura's voice boomed through the comms "You think Zarkon is going to have mercy on you? He's probably on his way right now to destroy us all!"

"Right, he going to tear your heads off one by one and use them as bowling balls. And use your limbs as finger food at his dinner party where he displays your mangled body parts".

There was silence for a few seconds.

"Are you sure Y/N's not the real threat here?" "

The four paladins (excluding Shiro) slumped on the sofa, tired from the extremely unproductive training session.

"Y'know, next time could you not laugh at us" Pidge grumbled at Y/N, who was leant against Keith. Y/N shrugged nonchalantly "Then don't make it funny"

Allura then strode into the lounge area, grinning at the paladins "You did it! You formed Voltron".

Keith frowned "No. The shooting stopped and the particle barrier shut down, so we just flew in". An irk mark appeared on the princesses forehead "What?"

Coran chuckled nervously, trailing behind Allura "Ah, right. Um, Sorry, Princess. Had to turn off the castle defence systems to test the fire suppressors"

Shiro then appeared, hands on his hips all dad-like" What are you guys doing in here? We're not taking a break".

"That's right. You should be training". Allura matter-o-factly stated. Hunk groaned "We've been training. When are we going back to earth?".

Pidge shook his head "I'm not going back until I find my family". Shiro's eyes softened slightly "There won't be an earth if we don't learn how to defeat Zarkon".

"Bold of you to assume I ever liked earth" Y/N mumbled, Keith nodded in agreement.

Lance frowned in confusion."How are we going to fight? We can't even figure out how to form Voltron".

" Well, I'm not surprised" Coran started "You know, the original paladins fought hundreds of battles together, side-by-side. They were like a pack of yalmors linked at the ears.

Y/N chuckled as Lance replied "Wow...That's definitely not us"

"That is true. During the last attack, your survival instincts forced you to work as a team, but that will only get you so far. You'll have to become a real team to have any chance of forming Voltron and then beating Zarkon next time. You should try working out on the training deck"
