Keith, Allura and Y/N flowed the frantic arusian king to his currently burning village. Red-orange flames flickered as Galran sentries stood amid the discord.
"Look, attackers!" The king blubbered, waving his short arms to point to the robots. A structure fell to the ground and embers flew through the air.
"I'll go in for a closer look!, stay here with the arusians" Keith stated, running off into the fire and explosions. Allura stared helplessly before yelling "Keith!"
Y/N rolled her eyes and trailed behind the red paladin. "One of these days you're going to get yourself killed" She muttered before frowning "Shouldn't they be shooting or something?"
Keith nodded "Yeah, that's weird".
Seconds later, there was a crash as a sentry fell over and it's head rolled to the ground. Y/N blinked in suprise before gasping.
"Keith these are broken, I think this is a trap!"
The two shared a panicked look before Keith spoke to Allura through her communication earrings "It was a diversion to separate us and thin the castle defences!"
The princess looked in complete shock and looked towards the castle. Their suspicions were correct as the galra seemed to be carrying carry a large crystal into the castle.
In an instant the three sprinted from the village and to the castle in hopes of entering in time. Unfortunately, a purple article barrier activated and prevented any entrance.
"Shit nuggets!"
"No! They have control of the castle, they're taking Voltron!"
"Double shit nuggets!"
Keith summoned his bayard and struck it at the barrier. "Can we break through the barrier?"
Allura shook her head sorrowfully "No. And whoever has taken the Castle has a Crystal, which means they'll be able to fly the ship!" The expression turned to one of determination "We have to stop them!"
Keith scrunched his eyebrows a little "How are we going to do that?"
Suddenly Pidge's voice sounded in the paladin's helmets."Keith, Can you hear me?!" THe red paladin looked shocked before replying: "Pidge, is that you? Where are you?!"
"I'm inside the Castle. Sendak has taken over and he's preparing for launch. He's got Lance and Shiro."
Allura's eyes widened in hope. "Pidge, listen. If they've started the launch sequence, then we don't have much time before liftoff to stop it."
The young boy seemed to understand as he replied: "What do I do?"
"You have to get down to the main engine control panel and disconnect the primary turbine from the Central Energy Chamber. If you can do that, will have to reset the whole system. That might give us enough time to find a way to stop them."
Y/N taped her foot in anticipation, when were they going to enter the castle?
"Pidge? Pidge! No, I've lost the connection!" Allura exclaimed the castle rumbled a little "They're taking off!"
The princess thought for a few seconds before her face brightened"Wait! The mice, maybe they can help!"
Allura's vermin!
Y/N cocked her head a little as the Allura closed her blue orbs and spoke to the mice telepathically.
It took a few minutes before the princess opened her eyes and start at the castle hopefully. "Please work" She mumbled softly.
Suddenly the violet dome over the castle seemed to evaporate, Allura grinned brightly "They did it!"
"Let's go fuck some shit up!"
I don't know why but this is a short chapter but the next one will be much longer.
