Chapter 27

Camila's POV
"Camila, it's me... Lauren" I heard a voice say as I opened my eyes. It took me a few seconds for my eyes to adjust and then eventually I saw a sad looking Lauren looking down at me, she gave me a slight smile so I smiled back and pulled her into a hug.
"Hey" I quietly said to the other girl in the room
"How are you feeling?" Lauren asked me
"I've been better" I admitted. I looked at her eyes and I could see that she had been crying, and not just a little bit.
"Are you okay?" I asked her after
"Yeah I guess so" she spoke up but looked down at the floor
"Tell me what you're thinking" I told her
"You really want to know" she asked me and finally looked up at me
"Yeah, I do"
"Okay then... Well I'm scared, I'm scared of losing you Camila. I know this is nothing to do with your illness but it's really scared the shit out of me and I just don't want to think of a life without you. I love you too much I guess" she truthfully said. I sighed deeply and shut my eyes.
"Are you okay?" Lauren asked me again
"Lauren im fine, please stop asking that" I snapped, maybe a little to harshly because she began to get upset again
"I'm sorry I snapped but this is exactly what I didn't want to happen" I told her
"What do you mean?" She questioned me
"This... Something bad happens to me and you get really upset and all that, then everyone is constantly asking me how I am because of the littlest thing I do. I don't want people doing everything for me" I explained
"I'm sorry" Lauren said sadly
"I'm just worried about you camz" she said sadly
"I know you are, but don't. I'm okay, I only choked on some water, isn't that the thing camila Cabello does. Ends up in hospital because of something stupid like that" I tried to joke
"I guess so" she said and took hold of my hand and placed a kiss on the top of it
"Go home Lauren" I told her
"What? No, I'm not leaving you" she said firmly
"It's christmas, go home and be with your family, please" I politely ordered her
"But.." Was all she could say before I spoke again
"I'll be okay, I'll be out later and you can come round for the night yeah?"
"But I want to stay with you now camz" she told me
"Please Lo, just go home, have a nice family christmas, trust me the time will go much quicker there than it will sat here. Anyway you might not see me much in here because they are doing some tests again or something" I stated
"I though they had finished all your tests?" She asked
"Yeah they have, but they need to run some blood and all that jazz"
"Oh right" she said but still didn't move
"Bye Lauren" I said to her and smiled
"I don't want to leave you though" she pouted
"Just go you dork!" I shouted playfully
"Fine im going! I'm going" she said and backed up towards the door
"I love you camz" she said as she walked out the door
"I love you too" I replied and watched her walk away.
Now she had gone, I didn't have to fake the smile I had plastered on my face while Lauren was in the room.
