Chapter 46

Lauren's POV
Fuck this! Why does everything go wrong for me! Urgh, I just want Camila to have a nice first date then this happens and fucks everything up. We was sat in the back of Camz's mums car and we was soaking wet. I was quite cold so I could guess Camila defiantly was so I took my leather jacket off and put it around her shoulders and pulled her hair out from the back of it
"Im not cold" She stated
"Yeah you are, I am so you surely are, keep it on"
"Okay" she said and gave me a big smile. She rested her head on my shoulder so I wrapped my arm around her to add extra warmth.
We had nearly got to the mall when the sky lit up with bolts of lightening and loud claps of thunder which even made me jump
"shit" She muttered under her breath so her mum wouldn't hear.
We continued our journey to the mall and finally got there a few minutes later in good time because the movie was due to start in 15 minutes.
We both made a run for it once we got out the car. I grabbed Camila's hand and pulled her along with me while she still had hold of my jacket over her shoulders.
Once we got inside I looked back out to Camila's mum and I saw her smile and mouth the words 'thank you' out the window.
Ever since Camila found out about her illness her mum has kept an extra eye out for her which is completely understandable because I know how she feels, why else did I give her my jacket.
I've read up on some things which isn't the best thing to do but any way some people say that just an everyday cold can be critical to a cancer patient and I'm not going to take that risk. A little thing like not offering my jacket in the rain could change things and not just temporarily.
"What movie was it you wanted to see?" I asked camila
"Inside out!" She answered excitedly just like her little sister would. I couldn't help but smile at her reaction and I took her hand into mine and went to the movie screen.
"Can we go in here quickly? I want to get some food"
"Sure thing" I replied.
We got inside the dollar store and she grabbed a few things she wanted to buy
"What do you want?" She asked
"Nothing, I'll pay don't worry, I thought I was the one taking you on this date not the other way round" I stated and raised my eyebrows
"But I feel bad" she admitted. I took the food out of her hand and shook my head at her
"don't be stupid" I said and decided to grab a box of Reeses pieces for myself then went to the checkout.
Soon after we had payed we heard another loud bang of thunder followed by a flash of lightning. After the lightning struck all the lights in the store went out and cause all of the alarms to go off
"Shit" I muttered this time
"What the hell just happened?" Camila questioned
"I think the lightning must have struck the building or something" I assumed
"Let's go to the movies now" Camz said and I nodded in response.
"It looks like half of the mall missed the lightning strike, all the lights are on that side" I noticed "Shit Which side is the movie theatre...?"
"Oh crap" camila replied
"You have to be kidding me right... Let's just go you never know it might not have been affected"
We walked towards the movies along the dark side of the mall in hope that there was power still on at the movie theatre.
"Excuse me" I asked a young woman who was working who was too busy looking down at her phone
"Can we have 2 tickets to see inside out please" I asked her politely
"The powers out sorry" she said bluntly. Camila knows people like this piss me off so she gripped onto my hand reassuringly basically telling me not to flip out
"Okay thanks" I replied with a little snap
"Wait!" The woman said when she actually looked up from her phone and we both turned around to face her
"You're Lauren and camila from fifth harmony right?" She asked us
"Yeah we are" camila replied to her
"Can I have a picture? I'm not a big fan but I wanna show my friends I met you" she asked
"Hmmm I guess" I answered seeming quite annoyed, truth was I was annoyed but at the fact the movie theatre was shut so I had to think of something to do at like 8pm in the mall. Most shops were shut now just the odd few that were open so we couldn't exactly go shopping or anything.
We took a quick picture with the girl and she thanked us and actually seemed quite nice in the end, I looked across at the side of the mall with power and saw a little pizza cafe thing which looked quite appetising
"Follow me" i said to Camila, she took my hand again and we walked over to the pizza place
"Oh my god pizza" camila said when she realised were we was going
"What do you fancy?" I asked her
"Oh jeez! Emmm just a pepperoni one today please beautiful" she told me
"Beautiful ayy? I can get used to that" I joked
"Well how can I not call a stunner like you beautiful" she admitted
"Shut up" I said and playful hit her arm
"I'll get a table while you order" camila told me and I nodded in agreement
"Can I have 2 pepperoni pizzas please" I ordered
"I'm sorry we only have one pizza base left today, we have had a lot of customers today and we never usually sell this much" the man said
"Okay then just one" I said and rolled my eyes as umbrella turned his back. I payed for the 1 pizza and sat at the table which Camila had chosen out.
I slumped down into the chair and sighed
"What's wrong?" She asked me
"What kind of fucking pizza place only had one pizza!" I whisper shouted just so camila could hear me
"You are joking right!" She exclaimed
"Nope"
"Well we will just have to share it then, you know you're loved when I share pizza with you" she said and put her hand on top of mine on the table.
She knows how to make me smile I thought to myself
"One Pepperoni pizza" the pizza man said from behind the counter
"Thanks" I said as I took it from his hand and returned to the table
"Let's hope this one pizza is good" I said with a lot of emphasis on the one.
We started to eat the pizza which not gonna lie was pretty good but I was still pissy at the fact a pizza shop only had one pizza, like seriously!
"Sorry about this" I said
"About what?" She replied with a mouth full of pizza
"A crappy first date"
"This was not a crappy first date!" She almost shouted
"It was, we got soaking wet through, then the movie theatres power was out now there is only one pizza, you have to admit it was shit"
"No it wasn't, I don't care where you take me, you could've took me to the junkyard for all I care, as long as I am with you then I am happy, you make me happy" she said with a cheesy smile
"Okay cut it out with the cuteness, I can't take it in public! And why would I take you to a junkyard? Who do you think I am" I said and laughed at the random thing she just said
"I dunno first thing that popped into my head I guess" she said as shrugged her shoulders and laughed herself
"Hurry up and eat that pizza" I said to her
"We might as well go and watch a movie on the computer"
"Okay" she said and quickly are the last two slices to herself
"Thank you for this perfect first date" she said to me once we left the pizza place
"No problem babe" I said
The next thing I knew her lips was crashing into mine which caught me off guard for a moment but then I soon began to kiss her back.
Maybe now I think about it Camila was right. This first date wasn't so bad after all
