Chapter 28

Lauren's POV
Did I go home? No, I couldnt leave camila alone in the hospital. I know she has her family but that's not the point. I am her girlfriend and I need to prove to her that I am going to with her every step of the way.
I decided to go for a little walk outside so I could get some fresh air and also meet my parents and tell them that I will be staying her and hopefully they will let me.
Luckily they allowed me to stay with camila so I walked back up the stairs and sat in a seat not to far from Camila's room.
I felt incredibly tired so I took a little nap but fell asleep for longer than I intended.

Camila's POV
Not long after Lauren left my mum, dad and Sofi walked into the room which I was in.
"Hey" I greeted them
"How are you feeling?" My dad asked me as he placed Sofi down next to me. "I'm alright I guess, I will be when I get home anyway" i admitted
"Don't worry, you'll be out soon" mum told me
"Where's Lauren going?" Sofi asked me
"She's gone home to spend it with her family" I explained.
Me and my family talked for a good half an hour until my dad decided to take Sofi back home for a bit because she wanted to play with her new toys. We exchanged our goodbyes and I was then left in the room with just my mum.
"So are you going to tell me what's up?" She asked me
"What makes you think something is up?" I questioned her
"I am your mum camila, I know when something is up" she stated
"It doesn't matter anyway" I told her
"I know about you and Lauren" she blurted out
"What?! Who told you?!" I said quite loudly
"No one did, I guessed. Sofi came in and told us about some 'secret handshake' and I always had a feeling there was something going on between you, so I asked Lauren and she admitted it" my mum told me
"Oh" was all I said
"So tell me what's up"
So I explained everything to her that was on my mind
"I feel like now this has happened Lauren is going to be worrying about me loads more than usual. I know it's not a bad thing but I don't want that to happen because I don't want to be seen as some ill girl who had to have a carer all the time.
I'm scared too. I scared that if anything happens to me, I'm Goni g to break her heart and I don't want to do that. I don't want to leave her all alone in this world. I know she has the other girls and her family but that's not the point. We are in love, and because of that if anything is to happen then it's going to make it millions times worse for her. I don't know what to do mum" I explained and felt a tear roll down my cheek.
"Hun, nothing is going to happen to you, you have nothing to worry about, you will get better and then everything will be fine, you need to have a word with Lauren and just explain that you don't want to be seen or treated any different to what you would be normally. She will understand because she is a clever girl.
Did she tell you about her little break down she had?" My mum said
"No why what happened?" I asked concerned
"When she got up to your room we was waiting outside and me and Lauren had a chat and she literally broke down in tears, she's scared for you that's all, she doesn't want anything to happen to you. She even said she wishes it's her that is the ill one"
"No she can't wish that! It's obviously been put this way for a reason. There is a reason for everything, good or bad and we can't do anything about that" I told my mum
"I know, but I also agree with Lauren, I wish it was me because you're still young and have a lot of life left"
"Never say that mum, I never want you to say that again" I warned her
"I'm sorry, I'm just saying I can see what Lauren means. Just remember she may seem strong but she's weaker than you think, ive never seen her break down like that before, just make sure you are truthful to her and I trust that you are going to make the right decision on what to do after this conversation" my mum said as she took my hand
We sat there in silence as I thought. Minutes passed and a doctor came into the room to take me away for some tests again.
As I returned to the room i was in to collect my things because I was now able to go home I saw Lauren sat on one of the chairs not to far away. I slowly walked up to her. She was asleep.
I gently placed my hand on hers and my movement caused her to wake up
"Lauren... I told you to go home" I said once again
"I couldn't leave you" she said quickly and pulled me into a big hug
"I love you" I muttered into the crook of her neck
"I love you too" she replied and then I felt the tears on my back from the beautiful eyes of my girlfriend
