Another week away from Yoongi. Another week that dragged on.

Having started therapy twice a week was starting to make a difference to my daily life, but I was also exhausted in some days. Today was one of those days and I was happy that it was Friday and the week was ending.

My plans for the weekend were to talk to Yoongi, sleep on the couch watching TV and maybe go out a little with my bike. The weather was nice and I liked to stop in the woods and eat blackberries after a pleasant ride.

My cell phone beeped and I ran to see if it was a message from him.

I'm going to sleep in a little while.
How are you?
Can you talk?

"I'm going to smoke. I'll be right back." I spoke to Jaap and got up from my seat with my cell phone in hand.

Hi! Yes!
I came out to smoke a cigarette.
How was your day?

Full. Today I visited
my mother's aunts.
I'm exhausted.

Aunt's food usually tastes good.

Roos, I won't be able to call you tomorrow.
The producer I work with
invited me to a face-to-face meeting
and the only possible day for everyone
would be tomorrow. I will need to go
to Seoul.

I put my phone in my pants pocket, but I didn't go back to my desk. I was frustrated and lit another cigarette. It was only after this that I went back to my desk and started to work.

"Hey Roos, are you okay?" Jaap's voice reached my ears.

"Yes, why?" I kept my eyes on my screen.

"You spent a long time outside. And you came back s little down."

"Ah yes, I was talking to Yoongi quickly. He is traveling and we will not be able to speak tomorrow."

"Are you a couple?"

I looked at him incredulously. I mean, it was two months ago that he had met Yoongi at PH, and after that I already talked about Yoongi to him and they met again... I thought it was clear.

"Yes." I said looking at him, but he didn't keep his eyes on mine.

"Where is he?"

"He went to visit the family in South Korea."

"Ah! Wow." He seemed to be thinking about something. "Are you going to do anything after work today?"

"Not particularly... I usually go to the PH."

"How about doing something different tonight?" He proposed.

"It could be nice, so yes." I accepted because I didn't want to go to the same bar where I always missed Yoongi.

Jaap stopped his car on a residential street near the centre and unhooked my bike from his car rack. I walked pushing it beside him, as he guided me along the way.

The place he chose was a bar that lent the atmosphere and decor of a pub. On the walls there were posters of British rock and punk bands and on television a game of rugby. The place was extremely different from my familiar PH. I had no idea that such a place existed in Hilversum.

"What do you want to drink?" He came over to ask me.

"Beer would be fine."

He guided me to the counter, paid for our drinks and guided me to a garden at the back of the place.

The weather was great, the sky clear, the sun shining and the weather cool.

We talked for hours. Jaap had an immersive energy and I only realized the time because it started to get dark, but even so I let myself stay.

Jaap told me stories that made me laugh through my nose and did well his job of making me not think so much about Yoongi. As he spoke I thought about how he would be a good addition to our group of friends.

I got home and finally took out my phone from my pocket. I ignored all notifications. I just wanted to know of someone.
