The instrumental sound started and I realized that although it was not being played live, the mix had been recorded live. The quality was incredible. His voice returned to my ears, this time with the same energy that I had heard on the recording.
He moved with a provocative attitude. His body seemed light, but there was a lot of power and strength in everything he did. The other boys, especially the ones he introduced as RM and J-hope, were close, putting more energy into his presentation.
I didn't know if I could trust my eyes and believe that the one in front of me was really him. At one point in the song I heard Bram exclaim beside me "Wow!" Just as soon as that song started, it ended.
He was catching his breath while the others positioned themselves beside him. The seven men on the stage formed a line.
The sad mixtape song that made me cry every time I heard it started to play. The boys were looking somewhere at the back of the room, but Yoongi let his eyes run across the audience. I saw his eyes on me a few times, but towards the end of the song, when his part finally came he sang it looking into my eyes and I was not able to take mine away from his. He was still looking at me when a tear rolled down my face.
After that song, he seemed to have spent a good part of the presentation avoiding looking in my direction, but even so in some moments our eyes met. Bram pulled my body in front of his and hugged me around the waist. My body swayed to his rhythm and sometimes I heard him murmur in appreciation of the songs, or the stage presence of Yoongi and the others, who were incredible, had.
I kept my eyes closed in appreciation for some of The songs, letting the emotions they convey take over me. I felt the melancholy present in many ways in many of them.
I opened my eyes when the pop beat of the ballad started and then I saw him at the end of the stage, opposite me. But even so, his gaze never left me. His eyes on me were captivating and held me there. I couldn't close my eyes again and I couldn't take them away from his. He looked at me with unwavering eyes. His expression was soft, but it gave nothing away. Once again he sang his verses looking at me and I remembered the meaning of his words.
I avoided looking in his direction for the next two songs, focusing my attention on the other boys who were making a formidable performance. I couldn't believe they were in the beginning of their careers, but I remembered Yoongi telling me that Korean idols have been training for years before making their debut in their careers.
The show ended just before eleven at night and we settled on a few tables in a corner, next to the pool tables. Yoongi appeared in the company of the boys, all very young, and they settled down with us.
A wave of celebration took over our group, no one sparing praise for everyone of them, who had made an incredible presentation.
I saw him walking away and stopping to greet some people. I saw that Taehyung was there, in a corner, accompanied by a probably Dutch girl, very different from his sister. Another very tall man approached them and I recognized him as Renko, the friend that Yoongi and Nanook have in common.
I asked Bram to go out with me for a cigarette and he asked me if I didn't feel like going home too. I nodded and we announced our departure to our friends who were looking at us in surprise.
We smoked before going to the tram stop and it wasn't long before we arrived at the station. The next train was a Sprinter, but we decided to go on it anyway, so as not to wait in the cold.
Bram walked with me to my house and went up the stairs behind me, our hands clasped.
He helped me to undress when we entered my apartment, caressing my arms that shivered when the cold of the environment kissed them. He guided me to the bathroom and turned the shower on for me, disappearing through the door for a few moments until he returned and undressed as well.
We showered together and when I got out of the water I realized that he had turned on the heater in some rooms. He pulled me by the hands and took me to my room.
