His choice to stay so close to the station was correct. We are not morning people and none of us were fully awake as we walked to the platform from which our train would leave.
I rested my head and body on his shoulder while we waited standing for the train to arrive. I yawned deeply while trying to keep an eye open.
"Are you sure you don't want coffee, too?" He repeated for the umpteenth time while sipping his own coffee.
"Yes, coffee doesn't suit my stomach." I spoke before I stepped away from him and stamped on the floor, trying to force myself to stay awake.
"The train will be here shortly and you can sleep again."
"Are you going to sleep too?"
"I do not know, maybe."
"I will sleep if you do. I don't want to waste a second with you on your day." I smiled a good girl smile at him and he returned one of his sweet smiles, pushing my fringe away from my forehead.
"You are sweet. But you need to rest too. " He pointed out, a little authoritative.
"I'm rested, I'm just sleepy." I rushed my justification, so as not to be interrupted by another yawn.
"What's the difference again?"
"It's different!" I said, to see him laugh again.
It didn't take long for the train to stop on our platform. Yoongi took our suitcase and I followed him into the wagon in front of us after he checked its number. He looked at his phone, looking for our seats, crossing wagon after wagon. After a few minutes of walking he pointed to a window seat, signaling me to sit.
"This is first class, Yoongi."
"However, your name is on that seat." He pointed to the viewfinder above the seats and proceeded to place our suitcase in the trunk right there. I shrugged and slid to the spot he had pointed out to me.
"You're celebrating in style, huh?" I commented when he sat next to me.
"It's not every day that I have a birthday." He justified himself.
"And how are you feeling finally at 28?"
"Pleased." He gave me a straight smile with closed lips, making his cheeks stand out. I loved this expression of his.
"Now you are the age of your song." I pointed it out.
"I already was, though?"
"Huh?"
"In Korea I am already 29 years old. There we are born aged one year old. That's why the song is called 28. Because I composed it while I lived there and there, for all intents and purposes, I was already twenty-eight years old."
"Ah! My god... Korean culture is really another culture." I emphasized it. He smiled at me.
The trip to Paris was smooth, Yoongi was good at taking naps and in less than half an hour he was already asleep. I allowed myself to do the same and when I opened my eyes it was just over an hour before we arrived.
I looked to the side, but I was alone there. I looked around, but I didn't see him. A few minutes later he appeared, with two cardboard cups in hand.
"I went to pee and took the opportunity to bring you some tea. It's mint." He offered me.
"Thanks." I said, resting the glass on the table in front of us.
