I woke up still wrapped in his arms, my hair glued to my head, I had sweated a lot.
I pushed the cover away from my body using my feet and turned slightly to spy on the man who was sleeping next to me.
He had also been sweating and his black hair was also stuck to his forehead. His lips were slightly parted and he looked so peaceful, unwavering.
I gently removed his arm from my waist and as I rolled over on the bed I heard an alarm clock ring on someone's phone in the living room.
Voices began to complain, forming a chorus of curses. Yoongi stretched out beside me and looked at me with only one eye open.
"Where are you going?" He wanted to know with his deep morning voice.
"I was going to pee, but it looks like it's time to wake up." I said, rolling back into his arms.
"Let them wake up for good. In the meantime, we will enjoy this bed a little more." I heard him say softly against my ear.
A soft knock on the door reached my ears, but I opted for his body heat again. A more intense knock happened a few minutes later... and finally Dirk was there on the other side, knocking and calling our names. Me and the man next to me ignored all of that.
"Roosje, Yoongles." The voice was now Maud's. "It's almost ten-thirty already. What time will they come to pick up the bed?"
"Shit." I spoke out loud.
"What time are they going to get the bed?" His voice was low in my ear.
"Eleven." I felt his body sprawl still next to mine, like he was trying to get out of sleep. He pulled away and was quickly sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Why do you have so many shoes?"
"There aren't that many." I crawled over to your side, sitting there too. "It's my combat boots, my chelsea boots, a high heeled shoe and five sneakers... and the slipper."
"And the other sneaker at the entrance." He pointed out.
"And that sneaker. But it's not that much, is it? I think you have more than I do." I accused him.
"Hm... possibly."
"What I have a lot, and I admit it, are pants, but is that we never know when a pair of jeans are going to tear on the saddle."
"There are no good enough jeans when it comes to bike saddles."
"This is an undeniable truth." I smiled, bending down and starting to put my shoes in the box.
I left the room already dressed and saw that the camp formed in my room the night before had ceased to exist. Most of the boxes of books and some with my clothes inside were all piled on the wall of the small hall, a few others were still close to the kitchen.
I finished brushing my teeth just before Yoongi entered the bathroom holding the bedding we had just used. He crouched down in front of the laundry machine and programmed it after putting everything inside.
"Have you sold that laundry machine yet?" He said, meeting me at the sink.
"No, it belongs to the apartment."
It didn't take long for the bed to be gone. After it was taken, there was nothing left to get out of the apartment besides the boxes and some bags.
