On Saturday Bram took me to a sports complex with several football fields. He told me that he is passionate about the sport and when he moved to Hilversum he looked for a place where he could practice it, as he did in Belgium. After a few weeks of searching, he found this place, where groups of friends rent the courts to play individual matches. He always comes on Wednesdays, when he has time off at PH.
In addition to renting the courts for this type of practice, there is also a football school for children aged 5 to 15 and today there would be a championship for some of the categories.
I don't like football very much, but Bram looked very excited and when we got there I understood why. Families and more families flocked around the fields, despite the still cold weather of mid-April.
The atmosphere was warm and relaxed. We found a space in a small bleacher and sat down together.
"Is there a specific game you want to see?" I asked him, curious as to why we were there.
"No... no specific game" he said looking at me "I just thought we would watch some games and then go get something to eat?"
"Alright, I think it's a good idea."
He held my hand and we stayed there for a while. After about three games I was tired and wished for a cigarette.
I informed him that I would find a quiet place to smoke and he told me that if I wanted, we could leave. I expressed this desire to him and then he stood up as well and guided me to the outside of the complex.
The next stop was a typical Dutch diner, like the one in front of the bar where he works. I ordered a broodje frikandel and a broodje kroket and Bram again looked at me indicating that he was surprised by how much I was going to eat.
"I take a medication that increases my appetite." I explained.

Bram once again accompanied me home, this time on his own bike and this time he accepted my invitation to go up.
I offered that he smoked a joint, but he preferred to only drink beer, because he would still work after he left me.
I started to feel the effects of marijuana on my body and put my joint back in the can where I keep these things and proceeded to put the can back on the living room's shelf.
Bram didn't take long to finish his beer and as soon as he finished it he got up off the sofa and headed for the kitchen, leaving the bottle on the counter.
He sat down close to me again and pulled me to him. I was very curious as to what was going to happen next.
He kissed me, first casually and then increased the intensity, pulling me closer, making me climb on his lap.
His hands roamed my body and I buried my hand in his long blond hair as light as wheat.
I stayed in bed when he got up and started to get ready to leave. He kissed me and went through the bedroom door. A few moments later a few noises indicated that he was getting ready to leave, which was confirmed when I heard the apartment door slam.

Dirk arrived and sat next to Lotte in one of the chairs at our captive table. He looked sad and Lotte rested her elbow on the back of the chair, burying her hand in his hair. He closed his eyes in appreciation for the affection received.
Timo came over from the counter holding a drink in his hand and sat next to me.
"So, how was it there?" He arrived with a subject already started.
"A little emotional, but he was very excited. It is an incredible opportunity and if everything goes as planned, we will have a good return to the studio."
Dirk said, relaxing in his seat and pushing his head into Lotte's hand. I looked at her confused and she noticed.
"Yoongi is going to South Korea, he will be there for a while." She explained it to me.
"He signed a contract to produce the album for a new idol group." Dirk added.
"Ah!" I exclaimed in surprise.
"If you showed up here or even in our group chat you wouldn't be surprised." Timo spoke to me.
"Yeah, I can't deny it." I assumed. "I had no idea."
"It was a little bit sudden." Lotte observed.
"We received the proposal about two weeks ago and today he is already going there." Dirk spoke again.
My mind started to hum slightly. A feeling that nothing that was being said made sense. I excused myself and headed for the street access door.
I walked to the corner and put my heels on the curb, so that the tips of my feet were free and I needed to balance myself to maintain that position.
I inhaled my cigarette deeply and held my breath and closed my eyes for a few seconds before releasing the air from my lungs. It was only when the smoke had cleared from inside me that I opened my eyes. I heard someone approaching and there was Dirk.
"It was all really fast, Roosje."
"He was at my house three weeks ago."
"I know. I don't think he would have gone if the conversation between you had been different. But maybe that distance is what he needed now." He spoke, making me look in his direction.
"What about his things?" I asked and instantly felt like an idiot for that question.
"Um..." he murmured. "His bike was sold at Marktplaats, the car stayed with me and Lotte... and I kept the keys to the house to open it from time to time." He spoke first and then seemed to understand my real question. "It will be initially for just six months, but it depends on the progress of the production. The group is new, this will be their mini debut album."
"I understand."
"You said you don't love him anymore." He spoke softly.
"Yeah."
"And it's true?"
"I guess so."
"Then use that time to confirm that certainty. I know you don't like me to get involved, but the happiness of you two is precious to me, together or apart. You are two of the people I love the most." He spoke and I took my gaze to his face, he was flushed.
"Thank you, Dirk." I offered him a tight smile. "I love you too."
