"You wanted to talk to me?"

"Yes, take a seat, Ms. Shin."

The entire time she was making her way to the office, Ryujin tried thinking of a possible reason why she had to go there in the first place.

She couldn't think of one thing she could have done, as she was pretty convinced that she was behaving quite well, the only thing Ryujin could actually think of was because of the situation earlier.

But that also wouldn't make sense, as he would have called out for Lia too if that had been the case.

Also, the principal asked for Ryujin in the middle of their lesson, so Lia was getting really worried that her boo was actually in trouble.

But the second Ryujin saw the principal's face again, she was instantly reminded of the last time she had been here.

Then it hit her.

"So, have you found someone who wears the mascot's costume?"

Fuck.

She completely forgot about that, she didn't even ask anyone if they wanted to get into that costume.

But Ryujin knew that she couldn't just tell him the truth, because she was way too close to get kicked out of school anyway.

If she told him that she didn't even do it, it could possibly get her expelled.

She panicked.

"N-No, not exactly... Nobody wants to do it in any way... B-But because the match is in three days, I would wear the costume volunteeringly if I don't manage find anyone until the game, so you don't have to worry about that."

He leaned back into his seat, crossing his arms and furrowing his eyebrows, like he was thinking some things through, and then, he smirked.

"You know what, Ms. Shin? Perhaps you should get into that costume one way or another. I've heard from your PE teacher that you have an excellent endurance, and also, you have an amazing flexibility and know how to do some tricks and spins. Plus, you're kickboxing."

"How do you know?"

"My daughter was a big fan of you when you were still participated in fights regularly. May I ask if there was a reason why you stopped?"

"I just... don't know if it's still the right thing for me, honestly."

"Ah, that's totally understandable. But coming back to my suggestion, would you be getting into that costume? You don't have to do it all the time, but just for that one match, you would be doing me a huge favor."

She knew she couldn't really reject his offer anyway, so it didn't take the outsider long to think of an answer.

"Sure, I'll do it."

"Excellent! I'm really appreciating your enthusiasm, Ms. Shin. That would be all for today, I'll be giving you all of the details next week. Thank you again, Ms. Shin, you can leave now."

Finally.

Even though she wasn't looking forward to it, Ryujin knew that she couldn't escape from this situation now anyway.

But just as she was about to leave, one of her hands already on the doorknob, he cleared his throat.

"Oh, and Ms. Shin?"

Slowly turning her head to face him, she saw how he had a small smile on his lips, which he quickly tried hiding as soon as they looked at each other.

He seemed like he was looking for the right words, almost like he wanted to be careful with what he says next.

"I know that most of the things people tell me about you aren't true, so I also don't want to keep you here any longer and sort out which ones of them are true, but I want to tell you that... If you have some sort of issues with those people, do me a favor and let me know about it so we can find a solution to it. Even though I totally understand that your... girlfriend, Ms. Choi, would react like that, I think that maybe there's a better way of teaching those people a lesson. Alright?"
