"Guys, it's karaoke night!" Ashlyn squealed. Six heads turned to her.
"Really?" I asked half heartedly. Amy gave me some kind of glare, waving her index finger at me.
"IDC if you don't sing, wer're all participating." She announced. I tried to run away when Taylor and Nathan grabbed my arms.
"Nuuuuu! Lemme go!" I wailed. "I suck at singing, don't do dis! (reference there)"
"It's happening tonight." Ashlyn looked up from the letter. I groaned and stopped struggling.
"Fine, just give me some time to put on a simple dress and memorize a song."
*****Le time skip of music*****
"Are we ready?" Wildstar asked. Me, Wildstar, Amy, Nathan, Taylor and Ashlyn stood outside of the building, dressed for formality.
"Hoping.... Hoping... God, please don't do dis." I muttered.
"LEZ GO!" Amy yelled,charging through the doors. We all shook our heads before following. I started shaking when I saw the crowd.
"I- I can't do this." I stammered. "I'm glossaphobic; it won't work."
"Aww, fine. You'll disappoint your boyfriend. Shame." Wildstar drawled. My ears popped up in alarm, so I quickly covered my head.
"He- he's here!?" I yelped. Amy gave me a confused look.
"Is there something wrong with your head?" She questioned.
"Well, uh... I'm uh... Just massaging my head, I read it helps your memory." I improvised.
"Huh-"
"Next up, Samantha Verona." I took a huge breath before stepping forward. I came up to the stage in front of the crowd to the mike.
"Well, uh..." I muttered. "Today, I'm singing a song, obviously. It's one by Michael Learns To Rock." I took a deep breath as the music came on. I began to sing:

I sighed in relief as everyone applauded. I quickly stepped off the stage and wandered back to my group. I still don't like singing. I just lingered in the back of the group as everyone else sang.
