Chapter 65 /Levi POV

Levi POV

"Captain please sir just try to calm down!" I can hear Armins pleading behind me. I can hear Eren and Mikasa footsteps in tow closely behind him.

Pulling open my collar I can't begin to rid myself of this suffocating jacket that is consuming me.

With one quick yank I have completely rid myself of the tight fit fabric discarding it off to the side as I make my ways through the halls towards Jason's and Anna's.

Cutting another corner I allow my feet to carry me right in front of their door. I can hear the sound of wood cracking as the door makes contact with the wall.

The sight of Jason's face dug deep in between Anna's thighs and her hands in his hair was all I needed to see before quickly squeezing my eyes shut.

I can hear the faint gasps of the cadets behind me as the finally make it to the doorway, taking in the sight for themselves.

"Damn Jason! Don't stop on our account!" Erens smug voice comes from behind me. Unable to see him, being a man myself I just know he's still watching.

Anna's high pitched screams come from the other side of the room as I hear her fumble to cover herself.

"Captain Levi! Sir! We..I... we.... she...-" Jason was fighting to find the right words, clearly not expecting me to be the one to walk in on them of all people.

"Yes, yes cadet I'm familiar with the act myself. Where is he? Where is my son? Where is Kaneki? You two are supposed to be watching him." Squeezing the bridge of my nose tightly, it takes every ounce of my being not to lose it.

At this point all that mattered to me was securing the last piece of home I had left.

"Right Captain. He fell asleep hours ago! Jason and I brought him back to your quarters to rest for the night. He's fed and tuck-" I didn't care to hear anymore of what she had to say. I had the information I needed.

Before she could finish I disappeared out of the doorway leaving them both fully exposed in front of my squad.

I couldn't help myself from yanking Kaneki into my arms the second I made it through the doorway. I just wanted to make sure he was real. That he to had not yet been taken away from me.

He was in a peaceful deep slumber but awoke the second his face collided with my chest. I could hear faint squeaking as I squeezed his small body to mine.

"Captain Levi please sir we won't stop looki-"

"Get out." No longer being able to put on a show. I needed to be alone with my thoughts.

The sound of the doorknob being turned and then pulled tightly shut was all I could make out from the other end of the room.

"Daaaaaad" Kaneki groans into my chest, pulling his face free.

He pulls his arm free and brings the back of his hand up to rub the sleep out of his eyes. I watch those steel big eyes pan around the room in search, he was looking for her of course he was.

Before he's able to direct those unforgiving eyes my way, I bring the back of my hand up to gently press his head further into my chest.

"Shhhhh Kaneki." Is the best I can do for now. At any second I felt like i might completely break. Shatter into tiny pieces of glass. I lost her, yet again.
