In Another Life

Chapter 76

A slender arm comes out from above me to set a steaming bowl of soup out in front of me.

"Eat." Hange takes a seat next to me as my squad looks back and forth between us.

"Hange i alr-"

"Not my orders, Levis. He's been forfeiting his meals for you. He told me to make sure the entire bowl is gone before you check in for the tonight." Hange smiles back at me as she shoves the bowl closer to me.

"Hange no, he needs to eat I've alread-"

"Shhh shhh. Y/N you think I would really allow him to go hungry? He told me to lie to you to guilt trip you into eating it. He's worried about you Y/N, he wants to make sure you and the baby are getting enough food, everything you need." Hanges hand come out to stroke my back.

Grabbing my spoon plunging it into the warm bowl I  bring the spoon to my mouth. I dig in knowing that Levi most likely has multiple sets of eyes on me, watching over me.

Eren, and Armin had been very persistent in their nightly check ins to make sure both me and Kaneki had what we need for the night before turning in. It was hard enough for them to sneak past my squad late at night, they were breaking curfew just to check in on me. Something about Levi ordering them to make sure I had what I needed so I wouldn't have any reason to leave the room late at night. Even at a far he was as protective as ever, he was truly worried.

"Ha well if he really was he wouldn't have stuck his dick in someone else." Bringing the spoon to my lips I slurp up the soup.

Pulling the attention of everyone around me. Hange leans in before continuing.

"Y/N I really think you should hear him out. Don't get me wrong I'm just as mad as you are but I'm afraid you don't have to full story my dear. You.. you may feel different after you hear him out. There's still much you don't know." Her hand continues to stroke up and down on my back.

"Besides we cant have both of our Ackermans fighting can we? The two of you are supposed to be filling the base full of more! You guys are the symbol of hope on our base. Without you two none of these idiots stand a chance at finding something real." Her eyes squeeze close as she smiles back at me.

"Yes well I will have to talk to him myself to find that out, now won't I?" Allowing a small amount of attitude to peak through. Hange hadn't let anyone down to visit the two since the entire ordeal.

"Well your in luck then my dear." She pats my back as she bobs her head upwards to direct behind me to the door.

Holding the bowl firmly in my hands I bring the spoon up to my mouth as I turn slowly around to find Levi freshly showered standing in the doorway.

His eyes meet mine and I could have sworn I saw a small smile tug at his lips at the sight of my mouth being so full. He wastes no time crossing the small distance between us. Coming up directly behind me I slowly turn back around. Eyes wide open staring back at my cadet.

Levis hand comes down to tug my head backwards into his lips.

"I see you did as I asked. Thank you for finishing your meal." His lips find the top of my head again as the cadets stare back at me in shock.

"Excuse us won't you? Y/N and I have much to discuss. Y/N?" Levis hand came down from my head to pull away the empty bowl setting it down onto the table. His fingers intertwine with mine pulling me up and into his chest.

Looking up into his eyes I look back and forth between them as I swallow.

"Yes... uhm.. let's go." I don't know what it was but being around Levi right now made me nervous, nervous like the first time I was when we slept together.
