Levi POV

It only took me a second to regain consciousness, pulling myself up into a sitting position. My eyesight was clouded, head throbbing. None of this mattered though, not after what I had just seen.

"Y/N!" I could tell her presence was gone, it was just something I had picked up after so many years of marriage. The air just had a certain feeling to it when she was around, a warmth, a sense of comfort. A warmth I could feel no longer.

Opening my eyes wide just in time to see a giant hand reach out for me.

My wires were fast to shoot into a nearby tree, ripping me up violently by my hips.

"This is goodbye Captain, come on! We all know your a caring leader. We both know Y/N and your subordinates have done nothing wrong. You wouldn't slice them up, just because they grew a little. Now would you?" Zeke had his back to me, yelling over his shoulder as he continued to run further from me. He had already put a good distance between the two of us.

And that wasn't taking into account the heard of titans that were now surrounding me.

"Y/N?" Her name came out as a nervous whisper as I continued to shoot my hooks further and further up the trees.

Seeing some of the faces I had become so familiar with chase me up the tree, I can't help but think to myself where it all went wrong..

Shit.. wine.. the wine...Zekes spinal fluid must have been in it the entire time. But Y/N... what does that mean for her. I was completely lost in my thoughts, unable to properly focus as I continued to shoot cable after cable higher into the trees.

"Dammit their fast!" Pulling myself out of the grasp of one that had their hand reaching out eagerly for me.

But then I caught it, I saw her. It wasn't her, but it was.

Black hair and green eyes, the ones I love so dearly. It must have been, the only female here that had looks like hers.

"Y/N!!!" Yelling out to her, she was still down at the base of the trees.

Her eyes met mine, and for a second I thought she registered who I was, that she was still in there... but my hopes quickly shattered as I watched her mindlessly run to the tree I was at, beginning to crawl up it along with the others. Her movement were different but not really.

It was no use, there was to many of them I had no chance at making it out alive without taking them out in the process.

Drawing my blades I slice through the fingers of one of my subordinates, just as Y/N makes it to me. Reaching her hand out for me. I quickly use some gas to shoot myself up and over her head.

"He said shifter Y/N, this isn't you!" I was speaking out loud to both of us, not just me. I needed her to know this. I needed her to know even in this form I loved her, and that I'd do just about anything to protect her. The same rules applied, I'd never turn my back on her.
