Kaneki POV

"No he needs to know! He's the reason for this! He should know just how low she sunk because of him, he deserves to bear that weight!" I was so mad there was no talking me out of it, even pregnant Maya didn't stand a chance. I was dead set.

Turning around to grab my jacket off the chair in the living room.

"She's stable right? I'm good to go?" I was looking back over my shoulder at Alexander. He was the local butcher.... you could say he took a liking to my mother but she never seemed to show any interest back. Working in his line of work he managed to pick up a trade or two, he wasn't bad with stitches.

"All done." He knotted off the last stitch pulling her wrists closed from where the razor had done damage.

"She should be okay, I would keep a eye on her tonight just to make sure. She's going to be tired and weak when she wakes up, she lost a lot of blood. Her neck still looks strained, she will have a ugly scar from that. We will need to get something in her sooner then later. Her body needs to start recover-

"Can you stay with her tonight? Stay here with the girls, I'm not sure when I'll be back. This may take all night." I was straightening my jacket as I made my way to the door.

Mayas hand came out, grabbing ahold of my wrist to stop me from going any further.

"Kaneki please, do you have to do this? Just leave him, he doesn't deserve the satisfaction of knowing he hurt her so bad. Your mother wouldn't want you to do this, especially so angry. This isn't the time." Maya had one hand wrapped around my wrist and the other holding her belly.

"This is unforgivable. He's sitting in his fancy tea shop with his fake family while we were here struggling, SHE struggled. No he deserves to know what a epic fuck is he is." I pulled my wrist from hers just to grab the back of her head, bringing her closer to me to I could kiss her forehead.

I would bever turn out like him, I'd never abandon Maya. I'd take care of her and our child forever, all of them.. my mother and sisters included.

I was out the door in a second, slamming it shut behind me.

It didn't take long to locate the assholes shop. I stood outside for just a moment, trying to wrap my head around what had just happened. What I wanted to say.

It was late, clearly past closing hours. But the lights were still on, and I could see him in there through the window.

Just seeing him made my blood boil, I forced one foot in front of the other, bring my leg up to kick in the door.

He was sitting there, in a dark corner. Back to me with a cigar in one hand and a glass of whiskey on the other.

He was celebrating, how sweet.

"We're closed. Do your eyes not work at all, it says it on the door." He made no attempt to turn around to meet my eyes.

"Probably just as good as yours work, you blind piece of shit!" I brought my hand out to swat away his drink causing the glass to go flying and shattering against the wall.

I watched his body lock up, almost like it was switching over into defense mode.... good he should be, I had no intention on playing nice. Not after what I just witnessed.

I wasn't waiting for a old hag like his to get ready. No he didn't deserve it, a cheap shot to the back of the head was exactly what he deserved.

I sent a fist flying thought the air, knowing damn well it wouldn't miss its target. This hadn't been my first fight. Living in a household of all girls brings many men to our doorstep. They liked to call my mother and sisters exotic, a "rare delight" . I never lost a fight though, not one of those morons ever managed to lay a finger on any of them.
