"Yes Mrs. Ackerman. We are still waiting on confirmation but I'm almost certain you are with child." the doctors confirms.

Michaelson's free hand comes down onto my stomach. Stroking it gently he keeps his fingers in my hair.

The doctor looks over to Michaelson as he asks his next question.

"Sir, do you know how long ago the time of conception occurred?" Directing his full attention our way. All the other cadets shift uncomfortably in the room.

"I'm not sur.." Jean cuts off Michaelson.

"About 3 or 4 weeks ago. We errr.... the entire base can hear you guys when you go at it." Bringing his his hand up to rub the back of his neck as he brings his gaze back to meet the doctors.

Both Connie and Sasha cheeks flush bright red as they both drop their gaze to the floor.

"He is not the father." Jean says out loud blatantly.

"That's enough Jean! We can have that discussion in private." Michaelson had pulled back his hand from my hair and wall clenching it tightly as he spit the words out from his clenched jaw.

"My apologize Mrs. Ackerman. Furthermore it seems that you are suffering from a case of Amnesia." Setting down his paperwork and coming close to the other side of my bed.

The doctor places 3 fingers on my stomach right below Michaelson's hand. He presses lightly into my lower abdomen and I gasp out loud.

"Amnesia?" I ask in confusion.

"I'm afraid so Mrs. Ackerman. It seems when you hit your head you hit it hard enough to knock yourself unconscious. Hard enough to put yourself in a small coma for a few weeks while you healed up." The doctors fingers move up to the left side of my lower stomach and he presses down once more.

Pulling another painful gasp from me he pulls back both hands and walks back to pick up his pen and paper.

"It seems you have quite a bit of tenderness around your lower abdomen. From what the report said you had taken a few tree branches to the stomach as you fell. This could be the source of your tenderness. But meaning how there is a chance you are with child I have to recommend you stay off your feet and rest up. At least until we can determine the extent of damage you took to your abdomen. To much stress won't be good for the child." Finishing up his paperwork he looks up to meet my eyes.

"Of course doctor I'll make sure she's well taken care of." Michaelson hand rubs gently back and forth against my belly as he looks back in my direction giving me a half hearted smile.

"I think it would be best if Sasha took on that role." Connies cold voice cut through the thick tension that was in the air.

"She doesn't even really remember any of you! She needs to be cared for by someone who cares and can comfort her." Michaelson fist clenches even more staring daggers at Connie.

"And that person is her husband. Not you. She's our Captain we are more then capable." Sasha quickly crosses the room and places her hand into mine and squeezes tightly.

......................................................
1  Week later

Laying alone in what I assumed was my quarters I allowed my mind to replay over every word discussed over the past week.

Many things had come back to me. I was able to remember past events with Jean, Sasha and Connie.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to name the rest of my squad some things were still lost somewhere buried deep.

I remember my time with Michaelson. The time we spent together. The intimate moments when both of our bodies came together as one.

It was clear to me that even if I couldn't remember them he clearly had some feelings left over for me. But did I have them for him? What were we before this? What are we now?
