Chapter 29 Levi POV

"Captain you know the rules. Besides the number of recruits that actually choose to be a scout is slim, and dwindling with each passing scouting outings. Fighting amongst cadets is strictly forbidden and not tolerated." Erwin begins.

"Y/N will be removed from Levi squad at once and relocated to a different squad that Cadet Samantha is not on. We can't have conflict amongst cadets Levi." Erwin was showing signs of fatigue rubbing the palms of his hands into his eyeballs in circles motion almost as if he was trying to release some tension.

"Remove cadet Samantha from my team, You know I have to watch over Y/N during outings. We already saw what happened on her last one, and she was right behind me and I couldn't protect her. What makes you think anyone else can? You can't possibly believe I was going to go along with this Erwin!"Slamming my palms down a little to harshly onto Erwins desk.

Erwin exhales a deep breath he was holding in before continuing. Looking back up to meet my gaze.

"Levi she brutally assaulted another cadet. Beat her quite literally senseless. You know this goes beyond myself. It is military protocol and it can't be waved for just anyone. Especially spouses! I am a firm believer in every single one of my Captains yourself included, and I have faith the Captain she has been placed under will do what's necessary to keep his squad alive." Erwin responds in a more friendlier tone then expected.

Straightening myself out and letting out a sigh I relocate to the window that over looks the training yards. Leaning into the wall i cross my arms over my chest and let out another sigh before continuing.

"What squad has she be resigned to?" I almost scoff out, a little more meaner then expected. But my anger was already boiling. I was surprised I was able to suppress it after taking Y/N's elbow to the gut. Y/N definitely hadn't lost her edge since she was taken from me.

Looking back at Erwin waiting for a my answer he almost looked like he was hesitant to answer. Looking down at his papers not meeting my eyes he almost whispers.

"Whites, she's been placed on Captain whites squad."

Before Erwin was even able to finish his sentence I had cross the room and was standing before him. 

"Don't humor me Erwin is that some sorts sick joke? You know whites has been after Y/N ever since she joined the scouts. He's a predator, absolutely not I won't allow her to be subjected to such lewd behavior!" Slamming my fist down onto Erwins desk demanding him to meet my gaze.

"Unfortunately Captain it's already been done. She will join Captain Whites squad. White was already in dire need of new cadets after the last outing he lost near half of his squad. Besides Levi, Y/N is a grown woman and can take care of herself." Erwin straightens out his papers on his desk.

"Tch, and that's supposed to put me at ease, the fool isn't even able to keep half of his squad alive!" I hiss through my gritted teeth.

Never meeting my gaze Erwin just sighs.

"If it makes you feel any better she will be 2 flanks ahead of your squad in the next mission. So you can somewhat keep a tab on her. But Levi do not make me repeat myself. By no means necessary do I want a repeat of the last expedition she was on. You are not to break formation for anyone. Do I make myself clear?" Erwin had completely changed his demeanor for friends to Commander and was now staring deep into my eyes.
