.....................................................................

The weeks turned into months as they passed by in a blur and before me or Levi knew it i was up and walking again pretty much in perfect condition.

I still hadn't quite yet grasped the concept that somehow I escaped death, yet such a pure lovely soul like sashas was taken. It didn't make sense nothing did. A child unknowingly had claimed a life, almost two.

Well....... I guess I wasn't completely right on that one. She did manage to walk away with two life's. Just not mine, but my unborn child's.

Thinking back on the discussion we had a few weeks prior.

"Dead huh?" I couldn't bring myself to look up a either of them. They had seen this look on me before, it was all to familiar.

I could see Levi's body lock up as he leaned against the wall. Kicking himself up and off the wall his eyes stayed on me.

"Hange would you excuse yourself please." It wasn't even a question he was telling her to leave.

She quickly obliged.

Closing the door quietly behind her, I was stuck in the clinic bed. Levi was at my side, hand reaching out for mine. The other tugging at my chin to meet his weary eyes.

Half of him already knew, we both knew it. The evidence was right there. But I think part of him needed to hear it from me.

"Y/N what was this? That... that thing. Please tell me what happened. Make this make sense to me. Tell me anything, just...... just don't tell me this was a consensual act." Levi eyes dropped from mine, no longer able meet my eyes in fear of the answer that awaited.

His hand fell from my chin but his grip only tightened on my hand.

"Look at me Levi." Reaching out to pull his attention to me.

"I can't." He choked back as he looked anywhere but at me.

"Why?" Grabbing ahold of his shirt to pull him forward. His eyes finally met mine.

"Because I'm frightened what I might do with the answer either way. I know it happened, I don't want to see the look on your face when you confirm it." He swallowed deeply keeping his eyes pinned on mine.

"I... I thought that you left me. That you just got up and ran away, from us, our family. I've acted..I've done such terrible things, said horrid things. And all the well you were on the other side of the ocean going through god knows what." He brought his finger up to pinch the bridge of his nose.

"Yes... well unfortunately your assumptions would probably be spot on. I never intend on leaving you Levi. You should know this, I love you more then anything.... I mean excluding our son, sadly you fail miserably compared to him." A small scoff escapes his lips and he begins to laugh.

Bringing his hand down so our eyes can meet again his smile only last a fraction of a second before going back to the pain filled one.

"That bad huh?" His eyes fell from mine to look down at the ground.

"Yes that bad." Reaching out to playfully punch his arm, he quickly side steps it.

"Well anyways..." his began to scan the room once again, avoiding my eyes. I just knew whatever he was about to ask was paining him greatly.

"When I got to that hair ball he told me he finally understands the satisfaction of knocking up a Hughes. What was that? Your last name is Ackerman, always has been. Was that some bullshit attempt to rename himse-"
