My family quickly went back to our ex sweet home and I was glad that dad managed to carry us very well. After going home and be warming up, I told about Nicole's invitation to them and I was amazed that my parents accepted me to go out with Nicole in the Christmas' festival at her high school. Then I called Nicole back and we were so excited to hang out with each other. I wished my current days would continue like this.

The next day, I quickly dressed myself with a navy coat, magenta wool sleeves, the typical jeans as well as the beige boots. I brushed my hair again. For the first time I felt I was beautiful and young again. Happily, I went home outside, Nicole was there for me. She put on her finest red satin dress as well as her beige coat and her boots. I said:

"Nicole, you look great. And you ... make up?"

"Yes, let's go, there's another surprise at school I want you to know."

The weather is tender than the night before. The land was white totally due to the snow. There were some tiny snowflakes falling down on the ground as if they were sparkling stars on the sky as well as the whole scenery. We walked with our usual pace. I rose my head higher to enjoy it. I loved winter so much, I felt I was being healed softly for what reasons I didn't know. Suddenly I noticed that a mysterious shadow staring at me. I stopped immediately, but this person quickly disappeared just as I approached. Have I looked that shadow before? Why that person stared badly at me? Did I do something wrong?

"Gracie! What're you looking at?" Nicole slightly shook my arms

"I don't know! Something is familiar with me ..." I replied with a shock face

"C'mon, we'll be late for the festival!"

During the way going to Nicole's high school, I still deeply thought about the shadow earlier. Have I hallucinated again? I was pretty sure that my sense wasn't wrong. However, Nicole interrupted my thought once more:

"Here it is! The Beverly Hills high school!"

I chattered myself again. I couldn't believe that my sense distracted me from liberating the depressions. I was amazed about Nicole's school. Unlike my high school, Nicole's ones was smaller, quiet and peaceful, contradict to my current school, which was larger, energetic, dynamics and have a Hollywood style. Suddenly I felt myself missing my current school somehow. My mind played trick again. At first, during my time in Los Angeles, my heart still yearned to my hometown, then it reversed somehow. I walked inside the gymnastics of the school where the festival was held with a spectacular decoration: a huge pine tree stand tall with some sparkling of the light as well as the stars on itself, the fake snowflake pinned on everything, the socks held every corner on the wall. The atmosphere was so energetic as well as cheerful. The students talked non-stop each other about the holiday. They laughed with their typical jokes in the daily life. Some of them I recognized immediately because they used to study with me in the middle school. In general, their appearance changed significantly from their head to their entire body. Suddenly, one of the boy called Nicole's name:

"Nic.! Bae! There you are!"

Nicole rushed to the boy. Overall, the boy seemed to have a 6'0" height, slim building, his skin looked bronze, contradict to his ashy blonde hair and his clear green eyes. He brushed Nicole's hair gently and I felt he was struggle to look down to Nicole who had only 5'0". They kissed passionately, somehow made me more painful to recall my first kiss with Matthew. It looked sweet and blossom to me. I couldn't protest his charm at that day, resulting in reciprocated. I still remembered how our souls blended into one strongly like a wave flooded back into the shore. The boy stood up again, smiled at Nicole and they were talking happily. I was shy, and even hated myself. Why my relationship could be like Nicole's ones? I wrapped my arms then looked away and sighed sadly.
