Warning: The whole case will be under Grace's narration via her diary. Enjoy at all!

Returning my hometown without my parents' knowledge, I did it because of my self-promise and Matthew. We did as plan, then we jumped in the car and drove to Beverly Hills silently. During my way, I looked the scenery with a boring face. It had been reached at the end of springtime but the flying performance of the pack of pigeons on the sky didn't cheer me up. I must act at the older age than my own, because I didn't have any intention of visiting the city and I didn't want to meet the jerks in the middle school. Besides, this murder case I thought I must interact with the police so I could persuade them to show me some evidence of the case and I could interrogate the relatives of Rosaline and Matt.

Finally, I've arrived to Matt's house. I hadn't seen it since the end of grade 8, I meant our abruptly separation. The grass was deeply fresh matching with the leaf trees surrounding all of the house. The house was made of grey vinyl siding and it was one-floor house only. The interior of the house was disappeared completely in my mind because it was such a longtime for me to visit it. While Matt carried my stuffs out, his mom who was inside the house came out quickly. She wore a white apron outside of her beige middle-age dress and her salt hair was carefully tied into the bun. Her blue eyes matched with Matthew's ones was steadily scanning his behavior and hurriedly said:

"Oh dear, you left me unexpectedly..."

"Oh c'mon mom, I wrote that I came to Los Angeles to seek a help. And here I am, alongside with ..."

"Belle Madison, a 30-year-old private detective from Los Angeles, at your service!" I interrupted as I rose the business card in front of his mom

"Nice to meet you, Ms. Madison. Anyway, would you want some tea, Miss?"

"No thanks! Matthew, why don't you tell her about our deal, kid?"

My words "kid" bothered my ex-boyfriend a bit. He grumpily said:

"Alright Ms. Madison I'll tell my mom right now. Mom, would you be kind to let her to stay at our treehouse? In exchange for her to investigate Rosaline's murder."

Mrs. Scotter held tight the apron, then reluctantly replied:

"Sure, Miss. You're welcome to stay at our treehouse. It's such a long time that no one in my house uses it except my boy."

"Anyway, I think I want to see inside the treehouse and I want to talk with this kid more about the case. Would you mind, Madame?"

"Go ahead! See you later"

I followed Matt's direction to go to his tree house. In front of my high view, his treehouse was same as his main house but it was made of wood. In order to enter it, I must climb the classic rope stairs which had already been tied in one of the branches. About my luggage, Matt climbed initially then pulled down the big tray which was carefully linked by the rope, he ordered me to put the luggage into that tray then he pulled higher. I ascended right away as he finally managed to pull my luggage into the home. This place looked like usual dormitory, it contains basic equipment like single bed, a table, a cupboard, a refrigerator but at least had a small toilette and small bathroom. I steadily scanned the room and Matthew said:

"You may want to sit down, right? Here is the chair!"

"Thank you, anyway, would you mind to give me a cup of water?"
