Chapter 2 case 4: The lab scene

During the way following Sheriff's lead, Grace boils over him so much. He is colder than she thought as he proves his stubborn level same line with her. She doesn't want to work with Andrew and Megan because she knows they bicker frequently every time they meet. Besides, she is annoyed because neither Mrs. Nelly nor Sheriff told her why they want her to come. She holds tight her fist and chattered her teeth with the intention of erasing annoying moments before. 

Finally, Mr. McCollins stop same as Mrs. Nelly. Grace cautiously scans every corner of the place where they stop. Turns out they lead her and her group into one of the secret lab room. The room has been weird a bit as there is a 40-inch pillar stood in the center of the room and its position is close to the working table. The surface is definitely a tile of this ground which is made of white ceramics. Next to the pillar there is a vase broken on the floor. Moreover, there is a man who is sitting quietly as he notices the sheriff's presence

"Sir, have you gathered all of your candidates in order to solve the case?"

"Of course, Mr. Wheeler, here they are!" Sheriff calmly says as he moves to left. Grace shocks as she notices her Practical Chemistry professor in the first semester. 

"Professor Wheeler?!"

The professor still wears the white blouse as usual. Inside the blouse he wears a white shirt and a black pant same as his leathered shoes. His stunned hazel eyes quickly scan Grace's presence and he asks as he brushes his own grey hair

"What?! Sir, you chose her to solve the case?"

"Does it matter?"

"No, I'm just shocking you know"

Her patience about the reason why they need her to come has made her sick a lot. Grace grumpily speaks:

"Oh god, I'm fed up with you, Sheriff! Because neither you nor Mrs. Nelly tell me what's going on and why you need me. Instead you make me follow your command and now can you tell me clearly about your intention?!"

"Alright, calm down Ms. Willington."  Sheriff replies with his calm manner "Your level of anger amazes me you know."

"I know you are stubborn same as me so please don't make me fight with you for stupid reasons!" Grace seriously wraps her arms 

"We'll start our story immediately" Mr. Wheeler interrupted "These kind of labs are forbidden for you, Ms. Willington. Because they are served for secret purposes. The situation of the pandemic has been lifted a lot thus I and my colleagues can come here to continue our researches of one of the secret weapon which is invented by us and some of Canadian army who used to attend this campus."

"What is it, sir?" 

"As in a picture here!" He rises the picture higher. 

"A 150ml bottle? You mean a serum?" Andrew curiously asks

"That's right! It's the serum VSAW01!"

"VSAW01?!" Grace questions 

"Vancouver secret army weapon 01. One of our current creation of secret weapon!"

"Oh how interesting! So what is it about?" Grace subsequently asks 

"About its function, it's likely to make you mute, Ms. The person who is infected with this serum will have some symptoms like sore throat, fever, hardly speak, cough, some kind of COVID common problems. We have tested a bit and these are some symptoms we know, we haven't found the side effects yet!"

"And where is it?" 

"It's been stolen! Yesterday! And here is the mess in front of you!" Dr. Wheeler points to the broken glasses on the floor
