Chapter 7 case 3.2: 6-hour-alive part 1

My vision was slowly clearer. I breathed steadily with no idea of what happened. I saw not only my hands but also my legs which were motionless. The ground was seriously cold and as my eyes were bigger, I stood up immediately. Belliste and her hitmen had hit my back and they did same thing to Nicole and Kevin. Then exactly where they lead us when we were both unconscious.

My eyes scanned carefully. The room smelt so stink, the light was weak to defeat the dark. It was empty except the four peeling walls and ... of course Kevin who was lying unconsciously. I quickly came towards him and waked him with my best effort:

"Kevin, are you OK? Wake up!"

His eyes slowly opened. His green eyes which were darker due to lack of brightness caught my shadow. He slowly asked:

"What happened?"

"You don't remember?! You, me and Nicole were hit by Belliste and her hitmen!"

My brief mention of Nicole soon shook his neurons. He stood up instantly then asked:

"Anyway, where is she??"

"We're definitely in one of cell room in Belliste's hideout. Maybe Nicole is out of there, but ..."

"Let's me go, you evil bitch! Get off your stupid necklace on my neck! Where are Grace and Kevin?!" The aggressive and lousy voice might be come from Nicole who was outside of the room

"Alright, calm down, Nicole. We'll go to business right now"

The door was opened and my nightmare was real again. Belliste calmly entered the room with her usual outfit in the winter: grey manteau, brown boots and black scarfs. Her blond hair was more dirt as well as the caramel shades was added into her skin surface. Behind her, Nicole was grounded by her hitmen, some were familiar, some were new. Besides, her neck carried weird necklace I have ever seen. Belliste stared at me with her devil blue eyes:

"Look like we haven't seen for ages, have we?"

I straightforwardly asked her:

"What do you want from me? What kind of necklace do you force Nicole to wear it?"

"Well Grace, I was quite surprise because for a first time you dared to tell your feelings for Matthew to Nicole. Secondly, you sensed clearly of my presence, so you went outside with the disguise of 40s woman and of course, the another front door of your home."

"Whatever! You think you can use Kevin to update my situation but he won't because he's a good guy. You made him no choice and you are just a big hinderance in front of his current relationship. You terrorized another innocent students in the middle school, then you made your parents worrying about you. You can't understand how they feel because you only think about money. You know clearly about my feelings for Matthew but he is none of our business, do you understand?"

"Oh, you don't believe that he is partly related to our business, Grace? Well, I'll show you something. Alright, let that girl go!"

The guy who armed Nicole pushed her harshly, resulted in she fell on the ground. Kevin quickly asked:

"Don't you dare to hurt her! Are you ... AHHHH!!!"

His scream drew all of my curiosity, I quickly looked closely her then her necklace. It was made of ceramics and more importantly, it indicated the red number which was countdown ... THE TIME!! Damn it, what did Belliste plan to do on us?! Nicole could survive within 6 hours. What should I do?!
