*Jade's POV*
Today Kylie, Luke, and I are headin out to Arlington, Texas. We were loading up the stock trailer. When I mean stock is loading up one bucking bull and my horses. LJ gave Kylie a cow, which he didn't know it was pregnant. It had a calf. Kylie's bull got picked to be part of the Iron Cowboy and the American. I qualified for the American as well. It's a crazy family vacation of rodeo for us.
We hear from LJ from time to time but he would only talk to Kylie. Which I don't mind at all. We haven't spoke to each other since we finalized.
"You ready" I asked Kylie
"Yeah mom... can't wait to get there"
"Haha.. we're just waiting on uncle Luke"
Five minutes later, Luke comes hopping in. We were to Arlington.
*Arlington,Texas*
We dropped off the horses and Kylie's bull. Who she named Koonyi by the way. She's excited. Not only is she contracting but also running barrels in the American. Yep, Kylie took the barrel racing side of things. But she said she wants to be contractor and rope, like her grandpa Julio Moreno.
"Mom I'm hungry" Kylie whined
"Alright... what should we eat" I asked
"Pizza"
"Pizza it is"
We headed towards a near by pizza restaurant. Luke was driving this time because I am beat. I sat on the passenger side, reading news feed. It's all about the Iron Cowboy and the American.
We pulled into a pizza place. We sat down by the window to keep an eye on the truck. We finally ordered our drinks and food. As we waited Luke and I talked while Kylie was watching her videos on my phone.
"Have you thought about... you know who" Luke said
"Yeah... heard he made it for tomorrow nights show" I said
"Guess who he has to ride... if he makes it to the short go"
"Koonyi"
"Mmhmm"
"Kylie can't be behind the chutes Jade.. that means you have to do it"
"Why can't you"
"Because I'm not the Co owner"
"Ooh"
The night we enjoyed dinner time. We laughed about stories and other stuff. But in the back of my mind, I have Kylie's father on my mind. I haven't seen him in a while. Well, Kylie spends time with him. His brother Dustin is the one that picks her up. But in all this should be one interesting weekend.
~Next Day~
Kylie and I have an interview today. She was wearing her black button shirt that showed off her sponsors. Yes, Kylie and I have the same sponsors. I wore a blue plaid shirt. Kylie put on her black shovel shaped felt hat.
"You ready" I asked
"Yep" she cheered
"Luke were headin out" I said
"Alright"
Kylie was excited for this interview.
We pulled up to the AT&T Stadium. We grabbed our coats and showed our passes and we got in.
"Mom.. can we go see Koonyi.. real quick"
I looked down at my watch.
"We have ten minutes... we gotta make it quick"
