I felt a grab on my hand. I looked up and there she is. Her beautiful brown eyes starring at me and she began to tear up. I jumped out of my chair and kissed her.
"I love you so much Jade" I whispered to her
"I love you too Larry.. You know...I heard everything you said.. And I'm keeping your word" she said
"You can hear?"
"Yeah... I wasn't brain dead Larry... I was sedated.. Which is weird because I couldn't open my eyes nor move.. Until now... But I am holding those words against you next time"
"I'm always gonna be here for you from now on... I'm not letting you go"
"I'm glad... By the way that was a neat thing you did with Kylie's name... What time is it"
I look down and it was three in the morning. Have I really talked to her that long?
"Three in the morning..."
"What are you doing awake"
"I couldn't sleep... But I'm glad I didn't fall asleep... How you feeling hun"
"My legs feel a little weak... But I'm ok.."
"You want me to get a nurse... To check on you"
"No... You need sleep" she said
"You sure"
"Yes.. Here"
She scooted over and I laid down next to her. That night was the best sleep I've had in so long. I held her in my arms that night.
*Jade's POV*
That night I slept in his arms, yes of course I miss being in his arms.
The next morning, I felt nothing laying beside me. I rubbed my eyes and looked around. I sat up and I really needed to go number one! I looked at the cords and they were unplugged. I swung my legs over the edge of the bed. I kicked my legs to get some blood flowing. There was a wheelchair set up by my bed, so I reached and pulled it towards me. My feet are bandaged up, then I wheeled myself to the bathroom. I hear the shower on and I looked at the clothes. It's Larry who is showering, but who unplugged the cords. They only thing I had on was my Ivy, like the needle.
I heard him singing in the shower and I chuckled but not too loud. After I got done using the bathroom, I flushed the toilet. Then he stopped showering and shoved the shower curtain to the side.
"Good morning to you too" he said
"Oh... My bad... I was enjoying the tune...but uh... Where are your clothes" I said
He looked behind me then looked back at me. The clothes in here are the only ones that he wore last night. I smiled.
"Where are my clothes... Jade" he asked
"Oh yes Larry... I stole your clothes.. I can't even move fast.."
I slowly lifted myself and wheeled out. I turned the tv on then all of sudden I felt a sharp pain on my side. I breathed in and out then a nurse came in.
"You ok there Jade" she asked
"I've got a sharp pain on my side..."
"That would be your ribs and kidney healing.. How's your breathing.. You getting enough oxygen in that lung..."
"What are my injuries... "
"We had to put you in surgery for a few things.... We had to do ligament replacements in both of your ankles... And insert a tube on the right side because your lung was punctured but not too severe and had some fluid in the lung... You broke some ribs.. Have a bruised kidney.. Did you go to the bathroom"
