I'm in my room. I started putting laying out my outfit for tonight. After I had my outfit picked and ready, I went to the door. I find a sad LJ. Oh god this ain't gonna be easy.
I welcomed him in. I went to my phone and texted Cade.
"You guys can go ahead and eat...something came up"
"Alright"
I put my phone down on the table. I sat down on the chair, LJ sat down on the couch. I waited for him to say something.
"So... you wanted the boring LJ" he said
"Boring? Larry... it's great to be boring... it keeps you out of trouble especially when you have a family... you may be boring to the others but to me... you weren't... being with you was great... you kept a smile on my face...even though you made me shred tears... but once you got a hold of the partying, it just ruined everything between us... I worry about you Larry... when you're out there drinking and chasing girls... anything can happen... the one call I hope I won't ever receive is my husband has been in a accident... that scares me Larry...." I said holding back tears
"People may not know it... but it does... do want Kylie to grow up without a father... if so.. than its done... we're done...and this is what I mean when I say she's gonna resent you if you keep this up... a friend of mine resents her dad because he did what your doing now... she hasn't talk to or seen him since she was seven.. imagine not talking to your daughter for eleven plus years..." I said
He sat there quite. Not a word spoken. He played with his hands, and if I'm not mistaken, I see tears. I'm scared for him, regardless. He doesn't need it. No one does. Which why I cut back on it. If I drink it's at home but only to celebrate certain things.
With LJ drinking and partying, it scares me. Anything can happen when he's out with his friends. I don't know if he gets that. Yes there's time for fun, but its how you play fun. My fun is being with my little girl. She's all the fun I need.
"Jade... I'm so sorry" he sobbed
"Larry... you don't need it... you don't... you can live life better than partying... staying in that life.. it's not gonna take you anywhere... your so serious about winning the gold, quit the drinking... do you see these world Champs drinking?"
He shook his head.
"No you dont... if you stay away... everything is gonna change... your gonna be placing more... and most likely your gonna end up winning the world at some point...but the liquor does need to stop... I've seen it so many times... especially when I was growing up... it slows you down... and brings you down to your lowest... and that's what I'm keeping Kylie from... which is why I tell the boys, limit yourself... if you can't than don't bother it at all... none of us don't drink as much... Cody cut down a lot... if he can... than you can.. it's simple Larry... just keep yourself busy... that's the only thing you can do, when recovering...." I said and got up.
I went into the bedroom. I went to my bag and grabbed my wedding ring. I also need to change clothes. Which I did. Once I was set, I walked back out. LJ still had his head down.
"I'll put this back on... when you actually want to be a family... till then it stays here" I said and put the wedding ring on my necklace, next to the locket.
It's the exact same locket he gave me, during our honeymoon.
"We can finish this talk again... later.. but I need to get Kylie dressed.. " I said and walked to the door
Revealing Luke, Kylie and Cade. They all had their head against the door. They stepped back. I smiled at them, and I grabbed Kylie. I took her into the room. Then Luke comes walking in.
