There he stood. Looks like he hasn't aged one bit. For god sakes it's been five years. I couldn't help but stare. Well mostly shocked.
"Hey" he breathed out
I smiled at him, not saying a word. Kylie was still crying and I tried to calm her down.
"Kylie... baby you ok" I asked her
"No... I want to go.. but I want to kiss Koonyi good night" she said
"Ok" I pecked her cheek and put her down
She looked at LJ for second and walked away. Geez, what did he do again? Kylie opened the gate.
"Aren't you gonna do something" LJ gestured to Kylie
I turned to her.
"No..." I smiled
"Why"
"Cause my dear... the bull you picked happened to belong to Kylie... hurts don't it..." I said and turned
I waited for Kylie to come back out. We locked hands and walked away. The look on his face though. Priceless. I'm kinda liking this now. Although I wouldn't want my revenge by him getting handed by a bull. It was his expression that was the icing on the cake.
Kylie was in the back seat, still upset. About whatever he told her. To cheer up my little stock contractor, we went out for ice cream. Luke went out with his friends, it was only me and Kylie tonight. Which is awesome. We also need to get up early tomorrow any way. Kylie needs to practice her pattern.
We showed up at a ice cream place. Kylie was looking through glass, deciding which flavor.
"You got your pick" I asked
"Strawberry" she said
"Two strawberries" I told the cashier
We got our ice cream and sat down. She was digging in. She was eating like if she hasn't ate ice cream in her whole life. I tossed her a napkin and she smiles and wipes her face.
"You wanna tell me what daddy did to upset you" I asked
"I think... he hates us" she said
I choked on my ice cream.
"What?"
"Well... he told me he will always love us... and you were the love he never had... and he would do anything to give it another try... now that he has a girlfriend... daddy lied... he don't love us... that's what hurt the most... he lied mom... he lied about always loving us.. he said I love your mom so much... If I didn't make the mistake... we'd still be a family..."
"Fair enough... you ready to go" I said
"Yep... Scooby awaits for the big day"
I smiled at her excitement. We left the ice cream and head back to the room.
*LJ'S POV*
Oh great! Now my kid hates me again. The look on her face, when I told her about Arena. I sat on the bed, with my head in my hands. I felt a hand caress my back.
"You alright babe" Arena said
"Kylie is on my mind... her meeting you.. didn't go as I expected... not only that her mom is here"
"Who still looks beautiful as ever... my lord! The smile I miss seeing... whew"
"LJ"
"I'm gonna go for some fresh air... be back later"
I got and walked out the door. I walked down the empty hall way. I made my way towards the pool. I sat down on one of the lawn chairs.
