The next morning I get up. I feel a little weight on my right side. There's also a muscular arm draped over my stomach. I slowly lift the arm and crawled out of bed. I walked into the bathroom. I look in the mirror and I looked like hell. I washed the make up off my face and put my hair in a messy pony tail.
I walk out and LJ was sitting on the bed. I stopped in my tracks. I stood against the door. I have my head down.
"Are you and Kylie still coming" LJ asked
"Uh.. we will probably leave till tomorrow" I said feeling guilty for some reason
"Oh right... you have Chancey to take care of... but umm.. no biggy... just as long as you two can make it out"
"Yeah... we can drop you off at the airport" I said
"Ok.. ill go get ready"
"Me too"
LJ walked out of the room. I watched him walk into his bedroom. I walked into Kylie's room and she was awake.
"Good morning beautiful" I said
She smiled at me. Her hair was wildly out of place. I picked her up and kissed her on the cheek.
"Come on.. we need to drop off daddy at the airport... and we need to go check on Chancey"
We walk back into my room to get dressed. I dressed Kylie in a pink Polo shirt, denim jeans and her pink converse. I curled the end of her hair. She was a cutie today. Once she was dressed, it was my turn. I picked a black long sleeve, Cowgirl Tuff jeans, and my black squared toed boots. We walk downstairs, finding her dad in the living room.
"You ready" I asked
"Yeah" he said
He loaded his stuff in the truck. I put Kylie in her car seat. I got in the driver side and off we went. Since we haven't ate breakfast, we stopped at a diner. Because LJ's flight is in three hours. We have time to eat.
"Jade..." LJ said
"Dont... Larry... it's over with.. just drop the stupid thing" I said
"Uh.. I was gonna say can you pass the sugar" LJ said
"Oh... oops.. hahaha"
I handed him the sugar. He poured it in his coffee. A smirk played on his lips. I couldn't help but smile to myself. I hate these feelings. One moment I'm mad at him and next I'm happy again. What the hell is my mind trying to tell me?
Everything was a short talk. After we got done eating. I grabbed the ticket, but LJ grabs it from me.
"I got it" I said
"Not uh...I do.."
"Please... at least let me make it up for yesterday"
"What did you do"
"I was being a smartass.. embarrassing you.." I said and snatched the ticket.
I walked towards the cashier and gave her the ticket. I pulled out my wallet, she grabs a credit card over my shoulder. I looked and LJ is holding Kylie. I stuck my wallet back in my pocket. She hands him his card back. He hands me Kylie so he can sign the small slip of paper.
"Thank you.. have a great day" the cashier said
"Thank you.. and you too" I said
"You guys made my day"
"Why do you say that"
"Well.. your a champion team roper... Jade.. and LJ is a PBR bullrider... and you two make a cute couple"
