Chapter 7 - Athletics Tournament (3/3) (Round One) (Part 3)

Okay okay I swear this WILL be the final part of Chapter 7. Semi-finals will be in Chapter 8, and Finals will be in Chapter 9.

"Three, two, one, GO!" Mr. Uzui yelled as he shot a gun.

Isekai was walking forward, while Nezuko was on guard. She had seen what he could do, and was not about to go in all ballistic, just hoping for the best.

Nezuko tried to gather information of her surroundings before preparing an attack. She found nothing of the terrain she could use. "Explosive Beam!" she yelled out loud as she launched a long-range explosion forward. When the dust settled, the audience could see Isekai holding up a barrier made of light. Mr. Uzui comments on the defensive. "Isekai blocks Nezuko's explosive attack with a light shield! What other kinds of powers may he hold?"

"Nngh, you're tough. Heat Breaker!" she yelled as she began to fire small explosive blasts at Isekai, which were all blocked. "Give up, Nezuko. I'm only gonna wear you down." "Not yet, NOT YET!" she replied as she began to continue the Heat Breaker assault. "Hm, I think I'll try the new warping technique here."  he thought to himself, as he opened up a warping portal, taking in all the bullets. They stopped coming, and Nezuko was not in front of him anymore. He looked behind him, and Nezuko was preparing a large-scale explosion.

"Now comes the real test..."  he thought to himself as Nezuko swung to execute it. The crowd cheered as Nezuko found a way to overcome. Or, it would have been, if Isekai didn't flash his haori at her attack. "WAIT, WHAT? YOUR HAORI, HOW IS IT NOT SINGED?!"

Isekai revealed the explanation behind the trick. "I imbued the haori with a little bit of my magic. It's breakable, but the shell is extremely tough. This is the end, Nezuko Kamado." He stated, as he kicked her away. "NEZUKO!" Tanjiro and Zenitsu yelled as Nezuko was sent flying across the arena. She didn't land out of bounds, and was struggling to get up, since that kick bruised her ribs a bit.

Isekai re-opened the portal that took in the explosive bullets, and fired back at her. "Mind if I take your move?" Isekai asked rhetorically. "...yes... *cough*" Isekai sighed, replying: "Too bad. Heat Breaker!" he yelled out, sending the bullets Nezuko fired back at her. The arena exploded rapidly, and Nezuko was flying out. "Agh... Everyone, get back!" he shouted as people backed away from him. He caught Nezuko in his arms, not only seeing that she was knocked out, but also out of bounds.

Mr. Uzui was rather freaked out about the battle's ending, but he shook it off and announced, "B-brutal way to end it, but either way, Isekai Mizuki wins the match! He will move on to the Semi-Finals. They will begin in an hour!" as the audience cheered. He continued, saying "Here will be the setup for the Semi-Finals!"

Kanao Tsuyuri VS Isekai Mizuki

"So I'm fighting the water-using kid. His potential was promising, I hope he doesn't disappoint me." Muichiro muttered, rubbing his chin. "Me against Muichiro?! The way he ended that battle was too swift... I don't even know if I can do any better!"

Kanao was shaking in fear, thinking: "I-I'm fighting I-I-Isekai?! He can literally turn my attacks against me! How am I supposed to win?!" Isekai smiled a little, chuckled, then muttered: "Ah. I'm against Kanao. This should be more entertaining than whatever Nezuko just showed me."

At the common room, when the teachers were eating their food...

"That Isekai kid is showing a lot of fighting potential. Heck, I think he's the one who Shinazugawa thinks could beat Mr. Himejima. Right, Sanemi?" Mr. Tomioka commented on Isekai's skill. Mr. Shinazugawa yawned, replying: "Ugh, yep. Didn't think a kid would be the one who shows rivaling potential towards him."
