Chapter 119 - VS Akaza II

Everyone came crashing down to the bottom, where it was a wide area of swirling ice pillars. "Hey, over here!" Akaza called. Everyone looks towards him, who already had his battle stance ready. All of the students who were facing Akaza took their stances as well, prepared for battle. "Let's do this!" he yells, deploying his compass technique.

Compass Needle (The user deploys a light blue snowflake-shaped compass underneath the user with numbers that have a range of one to twelve. This technique allows them to sense a person's "Fighting Spirit" allowing them to detect and track the locations of their opponents, even from their blind spots, and where and how their opponents will attack them. This technique can also be used to discern an opponent's weak points.)

Tanjiro took the initiative, slashing first. Isekai followed up from behind immediately after, but both of them were blocked. He then followed up with a technique. "Soryu Style, Destructive Type: Comet Bash!" he yells, smashing the ground beneath him, repelling the two fighters away.

Aoi, Kanao and Nezuko followed after, trying to attack him from three different sides. Akaza scoffed, and froze all three of them. "I can't bear myself to fight women, for some reason..." he mumbled, putting his hand on his face. Took all three of them away to safety, and tried to find a way to get them out.

Makomo and Tanjiro tried going in for it, but Akaza just threw Makomo away, and started dealing with Tanjiro. "You've clearly improved! How about you become a demon? There's so much you can do, Tanjiro!" Akaza suggested, trying to land a punch on his eye.

"I told you once, and I'll tell you again. I won't accept!" Tanjiro replies, blocking the hit, then thrusting the blade into his eye. "That's too bad. I hoped I wouldn't have to kill you like I had to kill Kyojuro!" Akaza said, disappointed. "DON'T BRING MR. RENGOKU INTO THIS!" Tanjiro angrily yelled, kicking him in the chin, which dislocated his neck a little.

It fazed Akaza a little, and he snapped his neck back into place. "You're good, Tanjiro. That kick... that kick was strong! MORE, I WANT MORE! DIE, DIE, DIE WHILE YOU'RE STILL YOUNG!" Akaza yelled, pleasure in his eyes and he rushed forward to try to fight Tanjiro once more.

Off on the sides...

Makomo ran up to Sabito and asked what happened to Kanao, Aoi and Nezuko. "They've been frozen solid by the enemy. I've tried using scalding hot water to melt the ice, but nothing's working!" Sabito explained, intensity in his voice.

"You go join Isekai and Tanjiro in the fight! I'll try to get them out!" Makomo suggested. Sabito nodded, and he left to join them. "Alright, girls, I'll get you out..." she mumbled, conjuring waves of scalding water of her own, launching it at Nezuko.

Back to the battle...

Isekai had just been knocked back by Akaza, and he decided to use his Energy Mimics to fight, summoning portals every moment and again to confuse his opponent. Tanjiro did the same, and used Isekai's portals to his advantage.

That plan didn't work, unfortunately, since Akaza killed all of the mimics, and even hit his opponents as well. "GU-GH! Damn, he's strong...!"  Tanjiro thought, backing out for a little. Sabito swapped places with him. He had immense speed, being able to evade Akaza's attacks with ease. "But, something's wrong about it. His fists... they're like magnets aiming for my weak spots...!"

"He's fast! He seems to be a Water Magic user. All Water Magic users are flexible and fast... I have to be careful with where I aim, or I could lose this fight...!"  Akaza thought, a bit concerned. He analyzed Sabito's rapid movements, and the way that he moved was really confusing. But, he got through it, and unfortunately for the humans, Akaza landed a clean punch to his gut.
