Isekai, Genya and Masachika were still at the scene, and jumped in to assist him. Genya looked at him, and asked: "Why did you call him Managi? Do you know that demon or something?"

Tanjiro explained everything, disguising it as memory inheritance, and they understood and believed, except for Isekai, who already knew their secret. Before they could charge to assist, Ayato took control of speech, and stopped them. "Listen, you three. I don't want you getting caught up in my situation. Look, I want you to go to the nearby areas and evacuate everyone. This is a battle belonging to me, not you. Hurry, before he turns anyone to a flopping school of fish." he said. The three decided to obey, and left the battle to evacuate the citizens. Genya and Masachika still thought that was Tanjiro.

Gyokko then questioned it. "Ayato, Ayato, Ayato. You know you're only going to fail again. You may as well just give up. There's no point in trying, you know this kid's going to die," he said. Tanjiro then replied: "Then I won't make the same mistake he did!" as the sword fully set itself ablaze.

Gyokko then tightened his fists, crushed a bit of the ground beneath him, and prepared himself. "Bring it on, then."

A massive power struggle then began, many of the surroundings being turned into fish, and air explosions, whipping wires and small explosions all happening.

In the residential buildings nearby, they all woke up the residents, and told them to evacuate. All of them were stationed at the nearest police precinct, where they were being catered to until the battle was over.

At the precinct, a policeman ran up to the one with his hair styled like a mohawk. "What's happening here? I keep hearing questions about fishes and constant red-eyed demons trying to kill these citizens," he asked. Genya reassured him that everything was going to be alright, and that there is a highly skilled Slayer dealing with the demon.

The battle continued on, more magics being used and more damage being dealt. Eventually, Tanjiro was able to find an opening which allowed him to cut off three of Gyokko's limbs. He prepared an attack. "Hinokami Kagura: Flame Dance!" he yelled, cutting off one of his arms, and both of his legs. The burning pain was a bit much for Gyokko to take, and he couldn't even regenerate for a time.

Tanjiro grinned, and told Ayato that he could have the honors. Promptly, Ayato took control, and held the sword upon his neck. "It was the Misato Clan that trusted you. You had our complete trust, and were an important comrade to us. The former master liked and trusted you very much, and you were kind to them. Now, before your fate arrives, I have one final question for you. What is most important to you?" he spoke, then asked his final question for Gyokko.

Gyokko thought about his response. "Power?" he answered. Ayato then asked him again, but louder. "I ask you again, what is most important to you?" "...being the clan's leader...?" he answered once more.

Ayato just sighed. He then put the blade at the side of his neck, saying: "The bell of fate has chimed. Your end is here, and you didn't even know what was most important to you before you died." as he swung, decapitating Gyokko's head.

A few seconds later...

Gyokko's head rolled across the ground. He decided to go back, to once more think about the great times he had while he was still just a simple member of the Misato Clan.
