Chapter 85 - VS Lieutenant Marvin Rosa

Kokushibo had emerged from the shadows, sheathing his sword. His six eyes glared at the lieutenant, bringing him a taste of fear. "Who... who are you?! Why do you have a sword?! Shouldn't you be working for Grand Commander-In-Chief Isekai?!" the lieutenant questioned, ready to draw out his blade. At that moment, Akaza and Kanao came out of the building.

"You two. Did you stop the cluster bombs?" the six-eyed swordsman asked, expecting that they did. Both of them nodded, and Kokushibo looked at the lieutenant. "Doma, stand down. You're a scientist, but also know how most of technology works, right? Schedule a self-destruct on the bombs. Akaza, Kanao and I will handle everything else," the demon commanded, beginning to unsheathe his blade. The scientist nodded, and ran inside to do as he was told.

"No human of this generation has EVER seen a demon swordsman in action... not since Kanao..." Marvin said, excited. "Very well then. Fight me, unnamed swordsman! Our battle will go down in history, and I will be known as a man who took a stand against a strong person in battle!" the lieutenant yelled, drawing his sword. Both swordsmen charged towards each other, and the battle almost ended with one attack.

"Moon Magic: Sword Form: Waning Moon Art: Burning Moonlight!"

Marvin's left hand was severed, along with his right ear and index and pinky toes. "...what?" the lieutenant questioned in thought, stumbling to the ground. "Huh. I'd intended to kill you within that one attack. Did I miss?" Kokushibo questioned, weirded out about the inaccuracy.

Waning Moon Art: Burning Moonlight (The user slashes eight times in the blink of an eye.)

Marvin stood up, blood dripping from the severed parts of his body. "I don't know what hit me. Your sword clearly didn't hit me directly. Is it your power that hit me?" he asked, looking at his sword. "Quite simply. My sword has Moon Magic imbued into it as a base power. Chaotic little blades appear after a flash delay, and even I can't control their shape, size nor form. My Magic power has its own base abilities as well. Not feeling confident about being us anymore, are you, Rosa?" Kokushibo explained, also asking about his confidence.

"Never felt confident from the start. But having my left hand, some of my toes, and my ear gone isn't enough to stop me!" Marvin replied, drawing out one of his guns and began rapidly firing at Kokushibo. "Moon Magic: Full Moon: Reflective Shield!" A shield made of pure moonlight appeared in front of Kokushibo, not only blocking the bullets, but even reflecting them as well. It punched about 9 holes in Marvin's body, as the rest was blocked by sword swings.

Full Moon: Reflective Shield (A shield is created with light from the moon's reflection. It is able to deflect high amounts of damage, although too much at once could break it. It is stronger at night than in day.)

"Give in and kneel to us, Rosa. It's not shameful to do so in front of a powerful opponent. Become a demon. Join us and serve our Master, who will bring his ultimate creation of order to life. You can do what you want, as long as you never step out of line."

Marvin stood up, drew his sword, and held it at his neck. "See that? You let your guard down, Mr. Swordsman. Just like that, your life is at my mercy. You don't even have the guts to move a muscle, nor will you bother to draw your sword. You've lost. Now go into arrest, and get this "Doma" scientist person to join you in jail," he mocked him, threatening Kokushibo with death.

A silence filled the air, and Kokushibo was cuffed. "As for you two, I'll let you decide your fate. Either you tell me where Doma is, or you, along with this twisted swordsman, die." Akaza took a breath, nervous as to what to choose. "Come on, now! You got ten seconds to pick, you two! One... two... three..." Marvin warned them, starting his count.

"Four... five... six..." Marvin continued. Kokushibo then cracked. "In the laboratory where you're trying to bomb this land. He's trying to set off the bombs to explode here. You can find him in there..." Kokushibo answered.

"Good choice," Marvin replied, scoffing. "You two! Take hold of the swordsman and the other two, I'll find the scientist and stop him from botching the plan that Grand C.I.C. Isekai established," he commanded, prompting the two he mentioned to run over to hold him. "Worst possible choice," Kokushibo said, immediately breaking out of the handcuffs, drawing his sword, and cutting off Marvin's feet. He knelt to the ground, alive, but in pain.

"Lieutenant!" a soldier called, concerned for their senior. "Now, none of you are to make a move, and release Kanao and Akaza. Do so, and your dear lieutenant will live," Kokushibo demanded, picking up the lieutenant's gun and holding Marvin at gunpoint. At will, the 4 soldiers let both demons go, and Kokushibo tossed Marvin towards the soldiers.

Doma came running out, notifying Kokushibo that the bombs were to detonate in 10 seconds. "Good, then we can leave," he said, prompting a sliding door to open. All four Upper Moons hopped in.

"We've lost this battle, men. We have been defeated, and we pay the price for our weakness. This is the end for all of us," Marvin said, now with no hope left in him. There was clearly no way the bombs could be defused once more in 6 seconds, not to mention they were outside the building.

The bombs detonated, and the entire outpost and every encampment around it was destroyed.
