Kaigaku and Kanao walked up to the front door of Isekai's house and rang the doorbell. Tanjiro answered, and he waved at both of them. Kaigaku walked inside without saying anything, and Kanao gave him a hug. Nezuko followed up quickly after, Tanjiro ruffling her hair before she went inside.
Isekai looks to his left and notice the three. "Oh, hey guys! You're the first three to come here! Come on, help me set up the decorations, will ya?" he asks, pointing to the box of decor he had dragged out of his basement. Kaigaku sat back, but Kanao and Nezuko pitched in.
There were ornaments, hats and lights being thrown around a lot. When they eventually finished the living room, it had been 3 PM, and there was another knock on the door. Nezuko opened it, and Sabito and Zenitsu popped in next. "Hey, you two! How's it?" she greets them. Tanjiro's standing behind Nezuko, staring menacingly at Zenitsu. Sabito pats her head, gives a thumbs up and walks past her. Zenitsu just waves and walks in. Tanjiro was rather surprised he hadn't already began to scream over his sister.
"Oh, hey, you guys! Mind helping me decorate the kitchen with this stuff? We still have the bathroom, the bedroom next to it, and then the second and third floors..." Isekai asks, scratching his head, since he knows it's a big favor to ask. Both Zenitsu and Sabito nod, and begin to help. Sabito left to the bathroom, and Zenitsu helped Isekai with the kitchen. When Isekai leaves the kitchen, he then notices that the fireplace isn't lit.
"Tanjiro!" he calls out. He pops his head out from the bedroom, which he just finished decorating. Isekai points to the fireplace, and asks if he can light it up using his power. His rival nods, and walks to the fireplace, and sets it into heat. Unfortunately, that's where Masachika was planning to drop for a surprise entrance, and of course, he gets caught in flames.
"OH GOD, EVERYTHING BURNS!" Masachika screams frantically, soot clouding the area in front of the couches near the fireplace. "MASACHIKA, WHAT THE FUCK?!" Isekai yells, pulling out a fire extinguisher from the cabinet and putting the flames out with it. "Oh, thank God, I didn't wanna be served as the main dish for tonight..." Masachika mutters in relief. "Okay, first, WHY?! Second, neat Santa costume."
Masachika scratched his head, answering the question. "Come on, you would have taken the chance to do it if you could! Also, it's because I always wanted to do that." Isekai raised his eyebrow and shook his head. "Whatever. Get cleaned up and put on some new clothes from the bathroom closet, we'll use your partly-burnt Santa costume for the fire in case it starts to wane out," Isekai said, pointing to the bathroom, which Sabito just came out of after he finished decorating. Masachika nodded, took a towel, and then went to clean himself up.
Isekai entered his bedroom to grab a shirt for Masachika from his closet, but apparently, he comes face-to-face with Makomo trying to get in from his bedroom window. "Okay, Makomo, first, WHY?! Second, HOW?!" he questions, rather more bamboozled and impressed than angry. "You'd be surprised how many kids from my old school are people from the hood. It's why I have a tiny criminal record of vandalism. I got caught red-handed spray-painting "Fuck the Police" onto an alley wall. I got thrown into juvenile hall for about 2 days, and then let out. My parents REALLY lit into me for that. I was one of said "hood kids", so I knew a few parkouring gimmicks here and there. I kept making graffiti until my seventh grade, and I stopped when your house was almost graffiti'd by yours truly."
