The Next World

Through that portal, Isekai had entered a place that resembled a room, but through the floor, through the walls, and even the ceiling, you could see only an infinite, endless space, with the stars glittering in the distance. This was, no doubt, a place beyond all reality.

Nothing existed, apart from the millions of worlds, physically represented by orbs. He stood in a transparent bedroom, which had two doors. One leads to presumably a bathroom, and another door had "KEEP OUT" written on it.

"Okay, then. Let's see... I wanted to go to #684, right?" he mutters, scrolling through the orbs, looking for the world he desires to live in. He finds and peers into it. He doesn't see anything out of the ordinary. "Maybe this place will give me a normal life. No abilities, no world-threatening monstrosities, just humans living their lives. Perhaps this will be it?"

Isekai opens a portal with the orb and enters it, still using his non-physical form. "Now, to find a child to take over..." he mutters, flying around to find his vessel. Along the way, he passes by a girl. She looked normal, just exceptionally beautiful. Coral brown hair, and emerald eyes that can pierce anyone's heart. Something felt off about her.

"...maybe it's just my imagination."

"A Doki Adventure" is releasing in a couple of hours!

I want to apologize for the year-long delay in the publishing of the prologue. I, unfortunately, could not get the story's cover photo, and probably will never, due to personal issues. I know I'm probably asking too much, especially for some broke dude who writes for fun, but I'd be grateful if someone drew up a new cover for me. Until then, the story won't have one.

I will say this, though. Releasing of future chapters will likely be very slow, as I've entered my senior years of school, and I'm trying to focus on myself and my education. I'll still try to get these out as much as possible, though. Thank you all!
