Isekai had already gone home, Tanjiro before him, and Kanao had already left messages for him. Tanjiro remembered before he went to sleep, and opened his phone.

Meanwhile, Isekai is sharing his screen with Aoi in a phone call, hoping to God nothing goes wrong.

Tanjiro reads her texts. (Underlined means phone texting, underlined and italic means phone call.)

"I've... wanted to say thank you for being there on the first day. In all honesty, I wasn't sure what the boys would have done to me if you and Isekai never knocked them out. And I also wanted to say sorry for Shinobu nee-san... She gets all uppity if she finds me talking to a boy. Last time I did that, she had her day off and saw that I was friends with one, and landed him in the hospital after school."

"And uh... one more thing... at 5 PM after school on Monday, can you walk with me?"

Meanwhile...

"Woah! This is getting interesting!"  he said over the phone, undoubtedly intrigued.

"Hah! I'm so ready to see how this goes tomorrow noon!"  Aoi replied, also interested.

Back to Tanjiro...

"...Well there's nothing planned for Monday..." Tanjiro muttered, typing on the screen to deploy his next message.

"Sure."

Saturday, 11 A.M, Mizuki Residence

Isekai was playing video games when a knock was on the door. He opened it, and his cousin came in. "Ah, cousin Black!" *NO RACISM INTENDED, I PROMISE*

"Isekai! Anyway, we got your split funding from Friday. Thanks so much for the 2 million! Here's some cupcakes and fried eggs and rice since I don't think you had breakfast, and along the way, MizuTech had me ask you for your approval of a new device planning, that you meet the executives and higher tomorrow 9 A.M. sharp," Black explained, putting down a bag of food on his table.

"Tell them I intend to, but it'll have to be moved to Wednesday 8 A.M." he agreed. "Got it. Thanks for the money, again." she said as she left. (Yes, Isekai's cousin Black in this story is a girl.)

Someone else knocked on the door a few minutes later. "What does Black want this time?" he muttered in question, opening the door. But to his surprise, it was Kanao who stood in front of him. "Kanao? What are you doing here?" he asked. "I... I came to ask about your sword..."

"Ah, my katana. Heh, you musta seen it, then. The one I used to break open the door and slice Shinobu's bat. Yes, it was made of a, well, rather sharper and harder kind of wood. If you so badly want to see the real one, just ask." he explained and said as he took a sword and its sheath from a stand. He unsheathed his blade, and it looked really well-made.

"What's with the lines along it? Did you chip it?" Kanao asked, rather confused as to what was the damage. "As a matter of fact, no," he replied as the sword detached itself. "Yup. You saw what you think you saw. This thing doubles as a wide-range whip as well. *sigh* You know what, I'll tell you why I have this." he said to Kanao, as he signaled her to come to his basement.
