Chapter 92 - Kanao Is Cured

Everyone in Class 1-A was waiting excitedly for the cure to be finished so that they can finally get Kanao back. Within five minutes or so, Isekai got a message asking him to come to the laboratory with everyone else.

Isekai told everyone to come with him, and everyone got to the lab where Kanao was. "Greetings, everyone!" Tamayo cheerily greeted. "We were able to make a stable cure within about four tries of different formulas, and we're just making our final preparations before we can begin. Oh, Isekai, can you come with me?" she explains, then asking Isekai to follow her.

He does so, and they enter a small room. "So, we found out that you lost your right arm in the war. We were able to gather a few people, aaaand..." she explains, showing to him a robotic arm. "Nothing exactly special, except for a few features that could help in your daily life every now and then. Come on, lie down here. We'll attach it to ya," she says, patting the bed. Isekai sets himself down, and within two minutes, they fully attached the arm.

"So? How does it feel?" Tamayo asks. Isekai punches once or twice with the arm, and then huffs. "I think I liked the old arm better. Ah, no matter. I'll just have to BRRRREAK it in..." he says, circling his arm. A scientist enters the room. "Ma'am Tamayo, we've finished!" he says. "Good, then we can begin!" she replies even more cheerily.

Both Isekai and Tamayo step out of the room, and everyone seems to have taken a liking to Isekai's new robot arm. "Okay, everyone! We have finished making the final preparations, and have ensured the stability of the cure. We've made a few extra copies, in case this didn't work. We can't guarantee that there won't be any side effects, but if anything was made safe, is that there won't be anything lasting, neither will there be any side effects that can kill or permanently alter her body. Alright, let's go!" she announces, taking a serum with a glowing blue liquid inside.

Tamayo walks up to Kanao, inserts the needle, and pushes it in.

Everyone was watching in anxiety, wondering what would happen. Nothing was changed, so Tamayo asked for the second serum, which Inosuke gave to her. After the second dose, Isekai began to notice changes in her overall body figure. She became smaller, and the horn that was adorned on her head was gone. Even her hair returned to normal. But, the transformation reversal still wasn't complete, so they put in a third dose.

After a short while, Kanao opens her eyes, and they were her regular color again. The transformation reversal was complete, and she was human once again. Everyone began to tear up in happiness at this glorious sight. "KANAO, OH MY GOD!" the girls cried, running to embrace her. She came to her senses, and realized what was happening. She ended up crying as well, and every last one of the girls began to sob. Except for Susamaru, she was in the bathroom.

Kanao got up and looked around the room. Scientists who helped with research along with most of the boys were applauding her recovery. She noticed Tanjiro, and got up to hug him. "Mmm..." was the noise she made as she buried herself in his chest. Obviously, he couldn't help but feel embarrassed. Isekai just remained at the wall and grinned. "Plan complete."

"Question... can someone explain what's happening?" Kanao asks. Tanjiro then sighs. "So, I kind of fell down in mood after Isekai told me you were transformed into a demon. They had originally intended to kill you just to prevent any more deaths."

"Yeah, that's fair," Kanao replies. "But... I don't feel like explaining this- Isekai, you do it," Tanjiro continues, giving up.

"Ugh, fine. Anyway, after Shinobu, Aoi, Nezuko and I found out you were done for, we set our sights on Upper Moon Five, the very demon that kidnapped you. Tanjiro finished him off, and we had to fight *you* right after. We were there with Masachika and Genya, and we went to my house after Ms. Kanroji told us to escape. But, like Tanjiro, I could never bring myself to kill a friend, save my possible partner, so I decided to formulate a plan," he explains. Kanao raises her eyebrow. "What plan?" she asks.

"I decided to collaborate with our kind biologist Tamayo. We decided to work together to make a cure for the transformation, but we needed to make sure nothing could go wrong. We went through with making a suppressor for Muzan Kibutsuji's curse that he lays on every demon, and then we had to wait until we had an opportunity to steal you away right in the open. Then, when we received that letter from Kibutsuji, I found out how we could pull it off. We could use the war as a ruse to steal you away. We needed to completely hinder any form of movement from you, and then inject you with the curse's suppressor."

Kanao had a lot to take in with that one. "You were in a heated duel with Tanjiro here, with both of you at maximum power. You had almost killed him, but thankfully, you were able to break through, and stop yourself. I took the opportunity to grab my gun, rush over there, and used the drugs in my bullets to finish your mobility off."

"We then took you away, extracted some blood from you, created the cure, and... here we are," he finishes, crossing his arms. Kanao could only tear up a little. "Hm?" he notices, questioning her crying. "I'm sorry... you went through so much trouble because of me. It's not you, it's me..." she says.

"Hey, you're back now, no need to beat yourself up about it," Isekai replies, shrugging. Kanao runs up to Isekai and hugs him as well. A lieutenant enters the room, looking for Isekai. "Sir, we haven't found any trace of Hashiras Shinobu Kocho and Kanae Kocho..." she says. "What? Return to the battlezone, see what you can find! It's already morning, no one will be there!" he commands.

Later...

Everyone was in the bedroom, conversing with Kanao for the first time in months, so they had much to tell her.

"We even got a trip to see Tsunan Snow Festival, shame you weren't there!" Ozaki said, crying a little. "Ah, really?! Tanjiro and I planned for that as well..." she replied, heavily disappointed. Murata then piped in. "Eh, don't worry, the festival was infiltrated by Upper Moon 4. Genya and I have been chasing him for a straight month, and we had to do homework for a week straight after that." Everyone kept chit-chattering, but Isekai was in a corner with Kaigaku, playing a card game. He got a call, and he put it on speaker.

"Grand Commander-In-Chief Mizuki Isekai speaking," he says. "Sir, we have good news and bad news. Good news is... we found them," the lieutenant says. "Okay, what about the bad news?" Isekai asks. Everyone perks up, and listens in. "...it turns out... they're both dead..." the lieutenant answers.

"WHAT? BOTH THE KOCHO SISTERS ARE DEAD?!" Isekai questions, in absolute disbelief. "Yes, sir. It seems as if the enemy punched a hole through both of their stomachs..." the lieutenant explained. Everyone looked at Isekai in shock, and Kanao just froze still.
