Chapter 56.5 - P-SBR: The Endgame

Peak tension engulfed the map, eyes flickering between one another to watch their movement. A long pause took effect... and they all moved. Constant shots and painting throwables began flying around, trying to hit their targets.

Barely a split second after a third-year landed on the ground to reload, Tanjiro immediately gunned him down with Kanao's shotgun. After the upperclassman took off his helmet and left the grounds, Yahaba nearly got a hit on Isekai with the launcher. After dodging it, the divided-hair lad drew the gatling gun, and began firing at Yahaba. Soon after he strapped it to his back again, Yahaba fired another rocket. This time, Isekai picked it up, and threw it back to his adversary. Yahaba was knocked out with his own attack, and he dropped his launcher, and walked away.

The only members remaining at this point were Genya, Yushiro, Shinobu, 1 more upperclassman, and then Tanjiro, along with his best friend. In the scene where Genya dueled with Tanjiro, the former jumped backward, trying to buy time for a reload. Unfortunately, he played into the latter's hands. Genya tried to shoot him down using the spray gun he got from Yuichiro, but Tanjiro was able to maneuver mid-air, and shot the gun out of his hands. He snapped it up, and both of them fell to the ground.

Genya was beginning to get desperate, so he tried to fire at Tanjiro using the only other gun he had left: a mag-less pistol. It was no use, and the latter sprayed him to defeat. After being knocked out, Genya stood up, dropped his weapons, and left the battleground. After Isekai came to him, they looked behind them to see who they could go after. Before they could make out their surroundings, Yushiro came flying down from a roof of a house. Before he could get up, Shinobu immediately caught up with him and shot him down. The former just facepalmed, dropping his weapons, then walking away.

After Shinobu finished up dealing with Yushiro, she turned to the only other enemy remaining. Tanjiro looked around, raised his eyebrow, then asked: "Where's your friend?" to which she responded: "He got caught in a paint cluster explosive. I'm your only enemy left." as she drew out her guns.

Friday, February 3rd, 2030, Spectating Area, 12:45 PM

Yushiro and Genya entered, then put their gear in the washing machine, changed into their uniforms, then met up with the rest of the class. Yuichiro was the first to notice. "Oh, hey, guys! Who were you put down by?" he asked. Genya told him it was Tanjiro, and Yushiro said Shinobu. Yuichiro nodded, pulled out his fourth dango stick, then went back to join the others in the spectating bleachers.

Genya nudged Masachika's arm, then set up a bet. "I bet you a hundred Tanjiro and Isekai lose this battle." Masachika grinned with determination, putting down 100 yen, replying: "You're on!"

Battleground, 12:50 PM

Isekai and Tanjiro were able to hold up just fine against Shinobu. Even they didn't doubt that Shinobu had the upper hand. More and more time passed, and they finally got the upper end of the pole. But, suddenly, Shinobu jumped behind Isekai, ready to knock him out in one blast. He tried to turn around, and retaliate with the sub-machine gun that Yahaba dropped, but it was knocked out of his hands by Shinobu's kicks. He then drew out his gatling gun, but before the barrel was ready to blast out paint, the weapon was broken by Shinobu's leg, following with an axe kick after knocking the SMG out of Isekai's hand.

Isekai realized he had nothing to retaliate with. He muttered: "Shit." as Shinobu drew out a pump shotgun, and blasted him away. He landed on the rock walls, then tumbled down. His helmet visor got cracked in the process, and it couldn't reveal how much health he had remaining. The HUD was glitching, and the signal it provided to the teachers' to reveal their status was also acting up.
