Chapter 26 - Yushiro & Genya VS Giyu (Part 2)

"It's a one-on-one match now. Yushiro's been knocked out... I have to fight him," Genya thought, trying to catch his breath, when suddenly, Giyu leapt at Genya and tried a heavy kick to his ribs, which was avoided.

"There are only ten minutes left on this test... I just need to find a way to take Yushiro and get out...!" he thought further. "Give up, you two. I've already knocked out your support, how will you win?!" Giyu questions, punching his face. "One last technique up my sleeve... Isekai taught me this after I ate lots of chicken..."

-=FLASHBACK=-

"Do you eat chicken?" Isekai asks. Genya nods, replying with "Yeah, it's my favorite food, actually." "You know, if your Blood Magic really DOES allow you to grow a thing or an entity's attributes onto you, you can use the chicken to, I don't know, make some wings, perhaps?" he suggests. It gives Genya an idea.

"I have nothing to lose in using it here!  Blood Magic: Manifest: Fierce Wings!" he cried out loud as white wings sprouted from his back.

"So he IS using what I taught him..." Isekai muttered to himself, grinning.

"He can manifest wings?!"  he questioned, backing away. "Take this!" Genya shouted as he fired sharp feathers at Giyu, who dodged and sliced them. "What...? I can't cut these things? These are regular feathers... like in weight, like in shape, and even like in texture. But, this is clearly sharp and hard! Even with Constant Flux still activated, I can't cut them?"

Genya plucked a large feather out of his wings, and flew towards his teacher, who locked into a clash with him.

"Those wings... the feathers are exactly like normal feathers, except tougher and sharper!" he said, drawing out. "That's right!" he yelled as he swung again, which only slashed Giyu's haori in half. "My haori! You're gonna pay for- where did he go...?" Giyu asked himself. By the time he found Genya, he had been flying away with Yushiro, knowing the time remaining.

"5 minutes left on the test!" Tengen announces.

Yushiro had woken up, realizing he was airborne, with Genya lifting him. "Genya, did we win?" he asks. Genya shakes his head. "Not yet. I only got away from Mr. Tomioka, I didn't knock him out. Hold him off for me if you see him, I have to take us somewhere safe," he said. Giyu yelled "GET BACK HERE!" from the distance.

Yushiro heard it, and started throwing kunai spears in Giyu's direction. He repeatedly blocked them, but it was disrupting his concentration, giving Genya the chance to slip away, which he took. "Where did they go now?"

Genya lands at the grocery store, and Yushiro steps onto ground. The mohawk-haired boy retracted his wings and stepped on the ground. "What now?" he asks, catching his breath. "Clearly, we can't beat him. We just need to last till the end. Take a blindfold, and move as quietly as possible," he explained as Genya and Yushiro equipped their blindfolds. "Conceal!" he quietly cried, as both of them became invisible.

"I reckon that the first place he'll look for us could probably be in the grocery market, let's move to the clothing store," Genya suggested. Yushiro nodded and followed Genya to a clothing store called Yoichi's Linens.

"We only have 3 minutes before this test is over, where are they?!"  he asked himself mentally as he headed into Yoichi's Linens. Genya and Yushiro began hyperventilating inside. "THIS BLOWS, THIS BLOWS!"  Yushiro internally screamed. "We need to get out!"  Genya thought, scared for his life.

Genya and Yushiro began to sneak out quietly, when at the unfortunate point of one minute left, Yushiro's left ankle cracked a little. "Hm?!" Giyu questions, turning his head."DAMN IT, ME!" he reprimanded himself in thought as he took Genya's hand and began running and revealed both of them, as to save stamina.

"YOU'RE NOT ESCAPING ME! Water Magic: Turbulent River!" Giyu yelled out as he began speeding up. He eventually tackled down Genya, who was revealed. He then started rapidly throwing punches to knock him out, and he then began to chase Yushiro.

"COME ON... JUST 30 MORE SECONDS!"  Yushiro thought, begging for Lady Luck to be on his side. "GET BACK HERE!" Giyu yelled, moving even faster. After a short while had passed, Yushiro thought he was going to fail the test, when Giyu suddenly stopped his attack. As it turns out, an instant rush of feathers thrusted into Giyu's back, making him freeze still.

"How-" Yushiro questioned as he looked behind Giyu. "I... wasn't... out cold. You... underestimated... my tenacity..." Genya explained, falling down. "Team H has passed the test by timeout!" Tengen announces. The students and Hashira clap. Yushiro ran over to Genya and picked him up.  "Dude, are you alright?" he asks. Genya nods. "Yeah... Mr. Tomioka hit me hard with those punches..."

"This was unexpected..." Isekai commented, nodding in surprise. "Great job, Genya!" he complimented him, pumping his fist up and down. "Yeah!" Masachika chimed in, bumping his fist with Genya's.

"The next match will be between... Team B against Mr. Shinazugawa! The match will begin once the 3 fighters return," Tengen announced.
