Chapter 92.5 - Kanae and Shinobu Die

(CHANGES: Doma took the hairpins that Shinobu and Kanae owned.)

The Kocho sisters were beginning to heavily overpower Doma. They had him cornered, and no mattered what he did, he could never get out. Eventually, they had him backed up with no movement.

"I WON'T LET YOU!" Doma yelled as he summoned a huge ice fissure to kill them. Just when he thought he could rest, both of them burst through it. "If that's all the power you have, then you're good as *dead*," Shinobu says, getting her sword ready. Before Doma could get up and escape, Kanae used her Flower Magic to wrap Doma's ankle in roots.

They both stood upon him and held their blades at his neck. "This won't be enough to get justice for Chinobu, but if this is all we get, then fine by us," they both say in unison. But... they got cocky and completely let their guard down. He froze both of their arms, and then pierced their guts with a single punch from both arms.

He then stood up and began to laugh. "YOU ABSOLUTE CLOWNS! YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD WIN JUST BECAUSE YOU AWAKENED A NEW POWER?! Your power was no doubt impressive, but it could never measure up to me!" he mocked them, beginning to devour the sisters via absorption.

Shinobu could only think about her mistakes. "...I got cocky. I got cocky, and that led to my imminent death. I'm sorry, Chinobu... I'm sorry we couldn't avenge your death..."

Kanae did the same, reflecting on herself for her failure. "We got too confident... we're both going to die now..."

Then, both of them make one last resort. "BUT...!"  they both think, reaching to their pockets to grab something. They both get a bottle full of some sort of poison, and pour it into Doma's body. The moment he realizes something was off about their bodies, he got them off of him, and he refused to eat them, despite both of them being females. "We thought about how if ever an Upper Moon was about to eat us and figured out that we have wisteria in our bodies. If that were to happen, then we can use something else as a secondary last resort!"

"...I have a feeling something bad's going to happen if I eat you. Oh! Ohoho, you clever girls! Your bodies held concentrated wisteria poison, didn't they? Such a shame I couldn't eat you. The short one looked so beautiful I could almost TASTE it! But, I will keep these hairpins. They just look so pretty," Doma said, absorbing the hairpins. He then leapt away, knowing that the Kocho sisters would die there.

Kanae and Shinobu looked at each other one last time, both alone in a small, somewhat isolated area in the battleground. They just smiled at each other.

"Kanao... if you come back... avenge them for us... for Chinobu's sake... for mom and dad's sake... please...!"  were their final thoughts as they both perished together, ending the Kocho bloodline.
