Chapter 98 - VS Rokuro: REMATCH

Genya was flying on his wings, carrying everyone with him. Masachika's rather concerned for his well-being. "Are you sure you're alright with flying all three of us there?" he asks. "I'll be fine. I carry boxes of fruit to a small market as a job I take on weekends," Genya answers. Soon enough, they see a huge, bulky body smashing everything to bits in Tsunan Town.

"Well, we found him. Ready to fight 'em? We're doing aerial assault today!" Genya asks rhetorically, charging in. The other three start firing ranged attacks at the demon, and he starts to notice them.

"Oh, so we have humans still alive, huh? I guess you're just hiding them somewhere. I'll let ya live if you tell me where you're housing all of them, how's that?" Rokuro proposes. "Fuck no!" Genya answers, dispersing some feathers off of his wings to cut down Rokuro's flesh body. After soaring around him for a little while, Masachika hops down to get up close. "Wind Magic, Sword Form: Idaten Typhoon!" he calls internally, cutting apart and severing one of Rokuro's arms.

Idaten Typhoon (The user backflips into the air, and while upside-down, unleashes a powerful gust of circular wind that slashes apart anything below.)

Makomo leaps down next, hitting Rokuro with a Waterfall Basin, followed by Aoi assisting the attack with Coil Crusher. Together, they break his other arm. Their next move was immediately charging into the beast's mouth to decapitate Rokuro from inside, but he uses his Flesh Fusion to grow another arm made of flesh armor, enlarge it, then make a brutal arm swing at them, sending flying out of the mouth of the beastly body.

Waterfall Basin (The user cuts the target vertically in a flowing motion which is most effective when they are falling downward.)

Coil Crusher (A single downward vertical slash that applies immense power. More effective when the user is falling down.)

Rokuro then fired with Bloodbullets, but luckily, none of them were able to land a hit on either of the four slayers. Genya swooped in and picked the three back up. Genya was playing aerial assault by launching razor-sharp feathers, and Masachika, Aoi and Makomo were on melee fighting. Soon enough, they hopped down from Genya and started to attack again.

The next thing Rokuro did was slam his fist into the ground, and rock spikes came flying at them. Fortunately, they maneuvered around it, and started using the rock spikes to their advantage in the terrain. They leapt around them, and eventually Makomo got close. She almost hit his neck, but she missed. "Damn it!" she uttered in disappointment, backing out of his mouth.

Aoi then tried to go in, but had to be tackled aside by Masachika after she was almost killed by an incoming rock spike. "Don't just go charging in!" Masachika yells, leaping upward to deliver a huge cut to the neck. He misses, and is nearly stabbed by a rock spike. Makomo follows up, and she ends up slitting his neck.

On a small hill not far from Tsunan...

Aoi and Genya were there, watching the fight happen as Genya regained his strength. "Do... you have any ideas? Makomo and Kumeno-kun are still there, and are struggling," she asks, concerned for her allies. After Genya fueled up on root beer, he got an idea.

"I'll be the one who kills him. He's already forgotten I've been in this fight at all. I need you to create an opening in his mouth, then I'll swiftly move in for the kill. If I remember correctly, Lower Moon Two could never regenerate after something happened to him. Ready?" he explains. Aoi nods, and Genya spreads his wings. Aoi hops on, and they go soaring back towards Rokuro.

Within a short duration of time, they hop back into the field. Genya swoops down to pick up Masachika and Makomo. "Where were you, dude?" Masachika asks. "Up on a hill. Now bear with me. I have a plan. Just blow a wide hole in his mouth, then one of you charge in. Try to take the hit he will execute to get himself away from striking range of your sword, then I'll move in to finish him off, sound good?" Genya requests. The other three nod, and Genya circles around, and dives directly for the head of the gigantic body.

The other three hop off, and instantly blow a huge hole in the mouth. Genya flies up, and stays on his head until it goes as planned. After the hole was blown, Masachika leapt in to try and swing, but was knocked away. Then, Genya leapt in and instantly slashed off Rokuro's head.

The big armor body began to fade into ashes, and all that left after the ashes faded was Rokuro's body and head. Masachika stared at it for a second, and realized that it wasn't fading, like the big armored body. But, by the time he opened his mouth, it was too late. A flesh cord suddenly appeared from the neck of the demon's real body, and attached itself to the head.

Rokuro looked at his adversaries, and suddenly, a huge explosion engulfed Tsunan Town. Genya swooped everyone up and got out of the explosion's range before anyone could get vaporized in its wake. Suddenly, out of the explosion came a skull attached to a really long spinal cord. It was roaring really loudly.

"GUYS, WHAT'S GOING ON?!" Masachika questions. The other three shrug, and the dust and smoke finally settle after two minutes. Right then and there, was a huge monster. What appeared to be its torso literally had no flesh, the head included. It had no legs, nor did it have a pelvis. Attached to it was another ribcage and spine, which was immensely oversized compared to the front of the body, big enough to the point where its ribs touch the ground. Its face was just a skull, and the hair was very long.

"You four!" the monster calls. "My name is Rokuro, Pseudo-Upper Moon Two of the Twelve Kizuki! I am the monster you see before you. Don't you see it? The immense size of my new body, the many bones that adorn it! This is something you have zero chance of winning against. Now, one last time. You can live if you tell me where all of the world's humans are being housed," the beast, revealing it to be Rokuro, proposes.

"You think transforming will change anything?!" Aoi yells. "We'll beat you, no matter what!" Genya adds. "Fine then, I shall savor eating your bodies," Rokuro replies, looking at the hill where they stand.
