Chapter 14.5 - The Death of Kyojuro Rengoku

WARNING: Probably excessive amounts of gore

Tanjiro gasped in horror at what he saw.

Kyojuro has been massacred completely to death. His heart was torn out, his stomach lining was disrupted, along with both of his lungs, crushed and unusable. His ribs were crushed, skull severely damaged, brain mutilated, arms and legs broken in multiple ways. All of his blood was pouring out, but it never mattered anyway.

Kyojuro Rengoku was already dead.

Kanae and Shinobu looked at the scene and tried not to vomit out of disgust. Tanjiro pulled out his phone and dialed Isekai.

Phone Call, Tanjiro Kamado ---> Isekai Mizuki, 6:15 A.M.

Isekai picked up the call, and greeted him. "Tanjiro, good morning! What's up? Finished up another mission? You shouldn't have, dude. It's-" Tanjiro breathed in, ready to tell him the news. He interrupted Isekai. "Mr. Rengoku... Mr. Rengoku is dead..." he says, taking Isekai by surprise. "Wait, WHAT? RENGOKU IS DEAD?! WHO WAS WITH YOU WHEN HE DIED?!"

"The Kocho sisters... we tried to fight him together, but another demon stopped us and held us off..." Tanjiro answers, picking up Kyojuro's sword from the ground. "Agh, we have to see what they did to him! Bring him to S. Corporation Hospital and give me the details of how he was killed, and what happened to him. I'll write us a note on why we're gonna be late today," Isekai commands. Tanjiro nods. "Alright, thanks." he said, hanging up shortly after.

Tuesday, 9:00 A.M, MizuTech Inc. Basement Floor Seven, Slayers Corporation Hospital

Kyojuro Rengoku, recently declared deceased, was put up for autopsying, and was finished doing so. Isekai walked into the room to see the results. "Alright, what happened to him?" he asks, folding his arms. "Master, Sir Rengoku's heart is missing, along with the stomach lining being trampled upon, his limbs broken in many ways, and his lungs were completely crushed beyond the unusable point. His brain was mutilated, ribs crushed, skull cracked, and even worse there's too much brain damage. Nearly nothing of his bodily fluids remain, whether it be urine or blood," the pathologist explained. "I couldn't imagine a more painful death... who killed him?" Isekai questions.

Another doctor walked into the room and answered his question. "According to the two Kocho sisters, and a boy ranked Kanoto, Upper Moon Three, or their agent, killed him."

"So an Upper Moon was there... Why didn't they help him?" Isekai questions, drinking water. The pathologist sighed. "We asked that, too. They answered this: A silhouette of a long-haired man appeared, and locked horns with ladies Shinobu and Kanae and the Kanoto-ranked boy. According to Kanae, he was a swordsman." "A swordsman on the demons' side? This is bad..."
