Chapter 34.5 - Hinokami Kagura II

Tanjuro began to explain everything.

"Passed down through eight other people to Tanjiro, the Hinokami Kagura is a power created in the Sengoku Era. I may not know much about it, as the only things I know is that this magic constantly grows in power, and that transferring it still allows you to use it at the cost of your life force," Tanjuro explains. "Eight other people? Father, do you know someone called Masuki Kamado?" Tanjiro asks, referring to his great-great grandfather.

"Your great-great grandfather? Your grandmother told me he was the fifth. Did you manifest his magic?" he asks. Isekai nods, piping in. "He did. It sprouts wires from his fingers." "I think he called it Shockwire..." Tanjiro added before looking at his dad, the latter of who was pondering about the subject.

"Father? You look puzzled. Has this not happened to you?" Tanjiro asks, raising an eyebrow. "From the ends of your grandmother and me, no. I'm not sure what's happening, because as far as I know about the Kagura power, no one has used, let alone manifested, the predecessors' magics."

"I want to say something." he intruded as Tanjuro and Tanjiro looked at him expectantly. "I did a bit of studying about this, and I found out that this legend had something to do with the Blackblade Swordsman," Isekai explains, opening his phone. "He had some link to it? Hmm..." Tanjiro wonders. "We can talk more about this Magic later. Isekai, you should return home, and Tanjiro, go to sleep. It's 3 AM," he suggests. Isekai nods. "Alright. Seeya." he agreed obediently, leaving the house and walking back towards his own.

In the hallway to the bedrooms...

Kie exited her room to go use the bathroom, but to her surprise, she saw Tanjiro and her husband walking through, having a short talk. "Are you really sure it's safe letting Isekai know about the deepest secret of the Kamado family?" Tanjiro asks. Tanjuro smiles and nods his head. "He seems like a trustworthy and kind young man. I'm sure he'll keep his mouth shut," Tanjuro says, putting on hand on his waist. "Tanjuro!" she exclaimed, running up to embrace her husband, who had been away for months.

"Hey, dear. Are the kids doing alright?" Tanjuro asks. Kie nods. "Doing just fine. And Tanjiro, what are you doing up so late, and why do you look like you've just tussled with a pack of boars?" she asks, looking at the dirt on his body. "Got into a little falling-out with Isekai, nothing more." he answered, scratching the back of his head. "Well then, get cleaned up and go back to sleep. You have school in the morning, don't you?" "Yep."

Tanjiro entered the bathroom to take a short shower, then went to sleep.

Tako Residence: Isekai's Bedroom, 3:17 AM

"...I'm beginning to understand why he'd kept this from me." he said to himself as he went to sleep.
