Chapter 4.5 - Lunchtime

"What're you feeling?" Tanjiro banged up a conversation. Isekai just answered "I'm craving some saucy hotdogs and a pack of cheese bits, a cup of gravy and a pack'a fries. You guys?" Kanao thought about it, then said: "Maybe mochi and udon will do me just fine." Tanjiro began drooling, blurting out: "I'm looking out for some seaweed plum rice balls and some taiyaki." as both Kanao and Tanjiro dug into their pockets... but... they realized that... "AH! I FORGOT MY WALLET!"

Isekai laughed, and said: "Don't worry, don't worry. *breathe* My treat. Anyway, how many mochi balls do you want, Kanao?" "About eight should do me, and one bowl of udon only." Isekai then turned to Tanjiro. "Tanjiro?" "About eight bits of taiyaki, and then three of the rice balls."

When they arrived at the cafeteria, Kanao and Tanjiro picked their seats, and saved one for Isekai, who was ordering their food.

Kanao and Tanjiro just sat there awkwardly, when at one point Tanjiro decided to speak up. "So... do you have any interests?" "Oh, uh... hehe... usually I just do gardening back home. If not, I help Aoi with the cooking, play a cup game with sister Kanae, or look at butterflies with sister Shinobu. What about you?"

"In my spare time, I usually visit Isekai, refine my magic skills with Mr. Urokodaki, or play board games with my siblings. I mainly like Monopoly, Chess and Sorry." Kanao then wore her skeptical face, asking him: "S-sorry? What do you have to be sorry about?"

"Hahaha! No no no, that's the name of the game," he answered, fanning his hand. "Oh." It took about fifteen minutes for Isekai to get their food, and Kanao and Tanjiro had been striking up a nice conversation.

Zenitsu was watching from afar, then cursing internally:"You bastard, Tanjiro. I'll kill you for this! That aside, isn't that Tanjiro's sister? She's a total beauty!"

Isekai then arrived at the table, carrying a tray of food. "Hey. I got your orders. Chow time!" he called. The three struck up ANOTHER conversation as they were eating. Isekai thought to himself at one point: "Sometimes, they're flustered around each other. Maybe... just maybe..."

"ai? ekai? Isekai? ISEKAI!" Tanjiro called him constantly as he snapped back into reality. "FAH! Oh, sorry. What's up?" he prompted. "Kanao and I agreed that we'd go to her house later. Wanna come?" Isekai thought about if he had plans. Knowing he had none, he shrugged. "I got nothin' better to do. Don't count me out."

He then resumed his thinking. "Just maybe... they...

have a crush on each other?"
