Okay I need New York and Florida to sit DC down and tell him no matter how much he tries his dad does not need to be in his life 

He causes him distress when he calls, nothing DC does will make him happy, he clearly never loved him 

DC tries to argue that his dad just believes in 'tough love' and he loves him, he really does. Plus Confederation had a hard time after Federation died and he had to take on twins. Everything he did was just to make DC stronger.
