I'm gonna be just like you

No matter what you say

I can do i'll follow you until the day

Gov was calm, cool, and collected. Perfectly level-headed in tough situations.

District wanted to be just like him.

He walked like he owned the place, he walked around like he was the president. He always had a dark suit on with a light blue tie, never shaven unless to trim it down which just added to his allure, and perfectly combed out hair.

He was the coolest person District ever known.

Gov helped District ride a bike when he was younger, and when District fell in a bush, brushed him off and told him to try again. He helped him study, and pushed him to get good grades and develop good habits.

Now that he's in college, whenever District wants to give up on a class or an assignment, he'll hear Gov in his head telling him to get up and try again. And he'll pick up his pencil or fire up a Doc and keep going.

Big brother I'm just like you

No matter what you say i can't do

I can smile at you and say

I'm gonna be just like you

IDC always carried herself with an air of class, ready to be assertive, and make people respect her.

District wanted to be just like her.

She stomped down the hall in her heels, commanding respect from everyone around her. Everyone listened to her when she spoke, everyone heard her out, and if they had a comment about being bossed around by a woman they kept it to themselves. IDC's hair was always perfectly styled, and she was always in the latest fashion when she went overseas.

She was the best leader District had ever known.

When he was younger and was picked on, IDC comforted him but also insisted he'd become assertive. She taught him how to be strong, how not to back down, how to stomp his foot and command respect. It may have caused more fights at school then his mother was happy with, but no one messed with him after it.

Now, if District is being talked over during a group project or made to feel small in a class, he'll speak up, speak his mind, and command everyone to listen to what he has to say. District wasn't a doormat, and he wasn't going to be treated like one anymore.

No matter what you say

I can do i'll follow you until the day

Big brother I'm just like you

DC wanted rules followed, but he also cared. He wanted order, but understood where people were coming from. He wanted calm, but also hated discrimination.

District wanted to be just like him.

DC always looked like he was close to a mental breakdown, and was constantly busy. Gov and IDC were always begging him to take a break. And yet people asked him the questions, they asked him for proofreading, they didn't go to Gov or IDC for advice or the president didn't ask for their ear, they asked for DC's. He didn't look like he worked in the government with his messy dress shirts, sloppy ties, and slightly unshaven face because of lack of sleep but somehow he still had at least a little respect among everyone because he was so important to the functioning of the government.

He cared more than anyone District knew.

District could remember going to parks with DC, and how if a kid fell around them or cried because they were hurt, DC would immediately dash over and ask if they were okay. DC was constantly tired but he'd always play with District and his friends, trying to make them feel welcome.

Now in college, District always took the time to get to know lonelier students or try to bring new people in his group of friends. He never wanted anyone to have no friends or be outcast, and would at least offer a friendly ear or to chat. District knew what it felt to be lonely, he didn't want others to feel like that.

No matter what you say i can't do
