Peter's POV

My spider senses kicked in, and I heard a scream. I immediately swung towards it, to see a guy sprinting with a purse in his hand, right after he had ripped it out of some girl's hand. I was already on the ground, so I ran after him. He turned sharply into an alley that turned out to have no end.

Got you now.

"Sir, don't make me do this the hard way," I said, expecting him to just give up. I took one step closer, but he pulled out a gun and pointed it to my head, making me freeze up. It had never happened before.

"I swear to god I'm gonna shoot if you don't move to the side!" he yelled. I raised my hands in defense and moved slowly to the side, as I watched him walk backwards out of the alley, still holding the gun at me. He was almost out of the alley, when his gun flew upwards and out of his hands. I looked up to see someone flying above us, and then landing right in front of the man. I could tell it was a girl, from her figure and her eyes. The man tried punching her, but she swiftly held up her arm, blocking the punch. Quickly, she clenched her fist on her opposite arm, and punched him right in the face. He fell sideways down, unconscious from the hard punch.

"I had him, you know," I said carefully, trying to break the tension her precision had caused. She shot her eyes up to mine in an intimidating and quick move. Her eyes were dark and foxy. I gotta admit, I got scared when she suddenly started pacing towards me, and without breaking eye contact, shot something at my wrist, making it stick to the wall behind me. "Whoa, what are you doing?" I exclaimed, as I tried moving my hand away from the wall. She then shot it at my other hand too, so I was plastered to the wall. She walked up close to me, and stared straight through my homemade goggles. I looked into her eyes, right until she turned her head and looked at my wrist. She moved closer to it, and ran two fingers over my web shooters.

"Where'd you get these?" she asked, letting me hear her voice for the first time. I didn't know what to say, but I knew I wasn't going to tell her before I knew with absolute certainty that I could trust her .

"Who are you?" I asked. I looked at my hand and recognized what was sticking it to the wall. It was spider-web.

"Spider-woman I presume," she said in a careless tone, as she inspected my outfit. She then dug a hand into my pocket.

"Whoa, personal space!" I spat out, but she didn't stop.

"Chill out," she said, and pulled out my phone.

"Put my phone back or else!-" I shut up, when her index and ring finger suddenly was on the button to her web-shooters, right in front of my face. No web had emerged from the shooters, but one millimeter under the fingers she was holding down, could certainly make it happen.

"Do you really wanna finish that sentence... Spider-boy?" she asked me and squinted her eyes menacingly. I didn't look away from her hand in my face, but I also didn't say anything. She lowered her hand back down and turned on my phone. "You have yourself as your background?" she asked, and turned the phone to me.

"Yes... and it's Spider-man," I corrected, a little embarrassed, but she ignored me. My phone was locked, so there really wasn't more she could do, than see my wallpaper.

"I know," she said and put the phone back. She then turned around, and started walking away.

"Hey, you can't just leave me here!" I yelled at her.

"Oh right," she uttered in realization, and turned around. She shot a web onto my chest and with one hard pull, I was swung out from the wall. She laughed when I tripped, because my legs couldn't follow the speed I had been yanked free in. Her laugh was cute, even though she had been kinda mean. "See ya... Spider-man," I could tell she smiled under her face mask, but before I knew it, she disappeared around the corner. I got up from the ground and ran after her, but when I turned the corner, she was gone.

When I came home, I immediately went on YouTube and searched up 'Spider-woman'. A lot of stuff came up, and I mean a lot. I clicked on the first video that was posted three days ago. It was a civilian filming her, stopping two cars from crashing into each other. It was crazy how much control she had, as she swung around. In one night I watched all of the videos of her doing the job, way better than I had been doing.

Here's the thing. I had been bitten by a glowing spider on a train three months earlier. Next thing I knew, I woke up with sticky fingers and super strength, but I still hadn't fully learned what all my powers were. I only knew about the super strength, spider-sense and then the sticky fingers and feet thing. I managed to make myself some web shooters and an outfit that I couldn't swing around town in. The sad thing was, I'd been doing baby work compared to what Spider-woman had. Meanwhile I'd been helping old lady's over the streets, she had been out there saving lives.

The next day was friday, so I woke up, showered, brushed my teeth, grabbed a banana and headed out the door. I walked to my classroom and sat down next to Ned. "Hey," he said as I pulled out my computer and placed it on the table.

"Hey man," I answered and smiled at him.

"Alright pull out your notes on computation please," Mr. Harrington said loudly, as he closed the classroom door shut. I opened my notes and quickly found it. I didn't pay much attention to the class though. It was only because Liz was sitting right in front of me. I could smell her perfume, that filled the air around her so sweetly. "Parker, can you solve it?" My thoughts were interrupted, and even Liz looked back at me.

"I'm sorry... What was the question again?" I asked, and everyone turned their heads back to the board.

"What is the value of a?" He repeated, and pointed to the board. I quickly scanned it, and knew the answer.

The equation 24x2+25x−47ax−2=−8x−3−53ax−2  is true for all values of x≠2a, where a is a constant.

"The value of a is -3 sir," I answered politely, while fiddling nervously with my pen.

"Very very good Peter," Mr. Harrington said, sounding very impressed. I went back to staring at Liz for the rest of the class, and mr. Harrington didn't bother me again. Once in a while Spider-woman popped into my head. I had to find her today, and I needed to know if she really got bitten too, or if she's just freakishly strong and smart. I mean she must've been smart since she had web shooters, and she was obviously strong since she knocked that guy out with one punch. And let's not forget her pulling me free from the wall with one hand. Her eyes were really pretty... No, what am I doing? I like Liz, and this 'Spider-woman' wasn't even nice to me, so I shouldn't have liked her. I didn't. I still had to find her though.
