When Lydia first woke up in the morning, she felt oddly refreshed, like that night's sleep was the best she ever had. She wouldn't be surprised if that was true, the bed was probably the best one she ever slept in and their pillows and sheets were incredibly soft. Not to mention that the curtains seemed to block out every bit of the sun and Lydia preferred to sleep in the absence of light. She sat up in her spot and grabbed her phone, which turned out to be dead not broken, from the nightstand and looked at the time. It was still early in the morning, about eight. She realized that she should have been at school, but given the fact that she had a crack in her skull, she figured she would give herself the day off. Not to mention she would already be late at this point since she would have to go to her house first to get her stuff for school. When Lydia looked at her phone, she couldn't help but feel disappointed because there wasn't one missed message or call from Elena. But relative to the situation, Lydia found herself in a somewhat good mood. Her headache was gone, she was energized enough and she didn't have to go to school. All she had to do was survive a morning with the Mikaelsons.

So she pulled herself out of bed, placing her feet firmly on the ground and walking over to the empty dresser where Rebekah had also left a pair of clothes for the day. Lydia was glad it was just a plain shirt with a pair of jeans and a black cardigan. It was probably the most simple outfit Rebekah had and Lydia was grateful for it, she wasn't really one to dress up. She didn't dislike it, she actually really enjoyed fashion, but she just preferred to go unnoticed and flashy clothes didn't really help with that. Once she got changed, she made her way out to the hallway, hoping to find a way home. Her car was wrecked somewhere so that obviously couldn't work, but she was hoping she could call someone and get them to pick her up. Not that there were many people she could call.

When Lydia walked out into the hall, she turned left towards the end of the hall where the staircase led to, but as she did she heard someone call her name and nearly jumped, turning around on her heel and seeing Klaus standing there, looking like he just exited his own room. Lydia relaxed a bit once she saw it was only Klaus, but she was still somewhat on edge as she never really knew how to act around Klaus. Last night was easier since she was exhausted and in pain so she was a little bit more focused on something else.

"Oh, Klaus!" Lydia exclaimed after being startled by him."Sorry, you scared me. I didn't see you."

"My apologies," Klaus responded calmly, taking a few steps towards her and placing his hands behind his back."I hope you managed to get some sleep, you looked tired last night"

"I did," Lydia answered with a small smile."Thanks for, you know, letting me stay here. I know you didn't have to and I know that Elijah is the one that offered but it's your house too so just thank you."
